Like so many millions of people, life is greatly changed in the past few days. There are many local stories of people acting on the better angels of our nature. Sadly, I just heard of the opposite end of the spectrum. The city of Toronto just issued a warning to people regarding a virus scam. People claiming to represent the city were going door to door selling "test kits". People were buying them up in their panic. Of course, these "kits" were of no value.

Sad that in the midst of a crisis, there are those walking among us who resort to this level of human behaviour.

Yeah, it's sad. You can usually expect lads to crawl out of the woodwork to exploit a disaster just seconds after it occurs. In Yastreb's latest bait his Cammie character told the lad that she tested positive for Corona. The lad quickly told her to send funds so he could bring her the cure. Sickening. I'm sure there are plenty of product lads out there that have recently added testing kits and vaccines to their fake product lists.

Yup, many 'non-delivery' product lads have been flogging face masks, vaccines and other PPE gear for months now. In just the UK alone since February there's been well over 800,000 GBP in reported losses to covid19 related scams.

Consider a worldwide scale, and the fact that many of these purchases are in bulk and should be going to those who need them most, and it becomes truly horrific.
