Weird scam email

I got a scam email which needs urgent english translation:

Dear Sir,

I am KABIRU AHMED ,works with NNPC and i was instructed by the Hon Minister of Finance to find out before the end of this month, Why your contract/ claim of your part payment of $8.9 Million fund have not been credited to your account.

However their are two men who came from your country to claim this fund on your behalf and the reason given to us that you are the one sent them that you are terminal sick they provide account of Union Bank of Switzerland for the payment to be made .

Kindly reconfirm your banking particulars to us to know if you are the one that sent them, kindly send in your telephone,fax numbers,together with your bank particulars and your full name for us to check with the one in our file.

Looks like you have a scammer on the hook. Please let us know you're baiting safely, and not using any real life information.

What will your response (from a safe baiting email account) be?

2. I think that propably i should begin with either "i dont remember anything like that"(high risk) or "is this legal" or something like that

You could follow the lad's lead by confirming that you are terminally ill but that you never sent anyone to collect your funds. You are so happy because you were planning to go to hospice after learning that you couldn't afford an experimental treatment because you are dirt poor. You only have a few thousand dollars to your name to ride out the next few months of your life. With this new windfall you can get the surgery but the funds need to come to you fast or you will end up sick and homeless. Then you can experience the truly horrid nature of lads as he tells you to give him the money you have left to secure "your funds". I can pretty much guarantee you that he couldn't care less about your cancer riddled and financially impoverished situation. Welcome to Eater!

^^^ lol, that should confuse the crap out of him. Then again, maybe you have brain cancer and talk all sorts of craziness. For some reason lads want to talk on the phone a lot so you can say the brain cancer destroyed areas responsible for auditory processing etc. You're literally wasting away as we speak so he needs to wire you the money instead of mailing an ATM card since you're scheduled to move to a hospice soon. That eliminates any requests for providing your address and gives you an opportunity to collect and report your first piggy (bank account). Keep us posted!

All we can do is report an account for suspected fraud. What the bank does with that info is up to them. They do not respond with status nor do we ask. If and when it comes time to report your first account reach out to a mod (green user names). They'll explain the process. Happy baiting.
