Hello!

back again, now unemployed so will be on here a bit more!
Due to financial crisis, I am currently selling my beloved Porsche.

Boy oh boy do the scammers come out of the woodwork for this tasty morsel,
One hour after posting this little lady popped up as a text - non-returnable natch, but she very kindly gave me her email address.
Sadly it's a Gmail account so I can't trace it...

She is very keen to buy my car she's called Deborah andrie, very odd surname and she sent me the following message:

[Great! please consider it sold and remove the adverts online as i am willing to pay your asking price? because i need to buy it for my cousin asap as a surprise gift, i have read through the advert and i'm totally satisfied with it, sadly i would not be able to come personally to collect due to my hearing loss and I'm just recovering from heart surgery so I'm home-bound. can i earn your trust, hope i wont be disappointed? I have a courier agent that would help me to pick it up at your preferred location after you have received your money and cleared to your account and i'll pay you via PayPal today once you get back to me with your Paypal email and full name. Where is the pick up location so that i can inform the courier agent about it now? Await your response.]

As you can see she needs to have some fun!

Sadly as she has my real life email address - not at my best watching TV and drinking wine...
So I won't be following her up, apparently this is an old scam still doing the rounds, I also don't have a lot of experience with this type of scam, I am tempted to push it along and then have the police await arrival of the 'courier'.

If anyone wants to mess with her then message me and I will give you her email address.

Regarding the payment i can only pay via PayPal at the moment and I will be responsible for all the PayPal fee/charges on this transaction kindly get back to me with your PayPal email,Phone Number and the pick up location so that i can inform the courier agent about it now?

The scammer has your personal info. Drop contact as Birlic suggested.

I sold a car last January on Autotrader, and got a bunch of those. The car was electric, and they all asked about the engine, oil changes, and other nonsense that didn't apply, and several sent the same format verbatim - I found it annoying and amusing. Since they all came in via email, I waited a bit, then replied from my baiter addy on all of them. I even changed the type of car in the subject line, so there was nothing tied to me at all, and I got a bank account out of at least one of them.

It was a cheap electric car (my beloved Leaf) so I think regardless of the kind of car you're selling, you'd get those scam emails. Definitely don't reply if there's personal info there or if it's still coming in via the website's customer email system!
