From my church character's account who received the photos, I asked that lad if he would be so kind as to record A Christmas Carol for the orphans, ideally in costume. I'm curious if he'll agree. According to him, borrowing the costume cost about 5000 naira, or $13 USD. I also used his pictures to threaten a few other lads I'm trying to get pictures from, telling them that my guy already got it done and they will be cut out if they don't get their act together. ASEMs and fake lad characters are truly wonderful things.

Would we get multiple Santa

s or some hitherto unspecified surprise if we got multiple different lads to dress as Santa?

signifying this year's contest, but I have no issue or strong feelings either way about having multiple santas for multiple lads.... You folks are the ones getting the fantastic trophies, what do think? One santa per contest year or one santa per lad dressed as santa? I'll go with the general consensus.

Still trying to ascertain the picture's real. It sounds like the lad just went out and bought the costume, so that's good. The proportion of the mouth to the nose and chin in the picture seems a bit weird, but maybe that's just his smile.

Could it just be the beard making the smile seem off? It's so close to Christmas the balloons and presents could have been an existing Christmas display already in place somewhere.

^ That’s my guess too, as there’s no indication I could find this was faked; details like the artificial turf and the presents make me suspect, like you said, this was a store’s Santa display the lad borrowed. Not quite sure why Santa needs balloons, but not my problem. I do believe this is a Santa

unless there’s something we missed.
