I told him that our church would never award anything with beer in it. Wine would be OK but not evil beer.

Yes he is that accountant.

I held off sending Padme's tried and true script until I was satisfied that he was a lying scammer.

Edit-
I deleted the method that I used but a common technique would be to send a possible scammer an email from another box saying that you would like to work together to scam the victim. Dangle a huge amount of cash that you have already swindled.
