Today marks 15 years since I first joined 419Eater. Shocked

That's a long time! Where does the time go??? It has been a wonderful ride, and I've made a lot of great friends along the way. (And more than a few enemies among the lads, I'm proud to say.)

I was honored when Rover asked me to become a Moderator 11 years ago, and prouder still to be appointed admin a few years back. But all good things come to an end eventually, and I feel that this 15 year milestone is a good point to step back and let younger blood take on the considerable responsibilities of managing this loony bin. Laughing

I retired in real life several years ago, now I'm ready to retire in virtual life. So I'm turning in my red and green badges as of today.

No, I'm not going anywhere. Eater is my home and I plan to be here as long as I continue to breathe. I'm just ready to lighten my workload and devote more of my (waning) energy to my granddaughters. Very Happy

Rover has kindly asked me to stay on as an Associate, which means I'll still be able to slip into the Mod Room and harass the team with my bad advice and haughty attitude. I just won't have the keys to the ban button or other tools. (Maybe that's a good thing!)

You are wonderful people doing a real service (which also happens to be fun!) and I appreciate you all.

I hope to post a followup on my 30th Eaterversary in 2034. Wink

Juan, congratulations! That's a really long time, an accomplishment to be proud of. I'm surprised you're not cuddled to death by bware by now. Is that even possible? Death by cuddles? As a last act as admin, can you please give her a carebear sig icon?
I haven't been around here long enough to know all you did, but thanks for your efforts!

Congrats on 15 years of making life miserable for the lads. Don't be a stranger around here. The sight of the black and white golden arches always gives me a smile. Welcome to Eater peon status. The beer is warm and our Eater overlords sometimes slap you around when they get drunk (which to be honest is most of the time) but there's still fun to be had.

Congratulations! You’ve been on this website for over 50% of my life. I second the motion to give bware a nice cuddly little Hello Kitty icon. RooRoo isn’t around any more, but there’s no reason to let it go to waste. Best of luck in your future endeavors!
