Our dear Sven has 2 big problems:
- he's jealous... he's afraid Anna and Gerda will find time "to pick-up" 2 young guys to feel good about on vacation... he feels like Anna "escaping" out of his sphere of influence.
- it is envious... that someone near him spends a lot of money (while he still has debts) makes him annoyed and makes him unable to control himself.

Since Gerda is the one paying holiday costs, it is obvious that Sven can not influence / request anything. Anna has her hands tied, because she is just a "guest" and she has to accept all of Gerda's decisions.
In this way, Gerda becomes "the bad cop" that Sven can not control and whose decisions will determine the course of future events.

1) Gerda is a rich woman, tough, unscrupulous and somewhat immoral... so it's immune to any of Sven's arguments.

- Perhaps it would be funny that Gerda would send some "naughty" messages to Sven, in which she would question the idiocy's "masculinity."
- Such a man, who refuses to meet his fiancée and stay with her for a few weeks, obviously has a biological problem related to sexual function. It's clear!

2) That Cheque that appears today (the parcel from Nederland) is sent by Anne's grandmother, but it's written in Sven's name. Only Sven can cash that money ($ 10,000)!
