This lad needs some love. He's got a trunk box stuck in Toronto and he really wants to deliver it to you. I think he's a prime candidate for a good ol' massbait.

Mr Labowski, I tried really hard to collect the cash in that consignment box for you. I rec'd a message from the lad this morning, which gives me the impression I have failed. I apologise.

My character won't give up of course, but it is not looking promising at this stage.
