Scam Taken way past the line

First off I am not a scambaiter but this scam took it too far for a phone scam.

What happened was my grandparents got the call claiming it was me and I got a DWI and a wreck and need 8000 dollars for my bail, thank goodness that my grandparents are smart and tried to verify this info before doing anything else, but this nearly sent my grandmother in a panic attack due to the fact she worries about a lot, but any scam should not put any kind of stress like that one any family and why I am posting here so hopefully these people can be stopped before any victims actually falls for this

Now I have no idea if this number works like I said I am not scambaiter and not comfortable with talking to these kind of people so sorry if this is not an accurate number but this is the number the scammer wanted my grandparents to call after they got the money together.

You need to get this information onto scamwarners to warn others about this

On this site, we only "bait" the scammers, some of whom are far worse and considerably more heartless than this one (trust me)

Help your grandparents set up caller ID and tell them not to answer calls from people they don't know. This will help avoid scammers scaring them in the future. And as Purple said, please post this information on scamwarners.com it is our sister site and works to assist victims, educate the public, and warn potential victims.

They can attempt to report it to local law enforcement, their State's Attorney General (if located in the US), and have the grandparents file a complaint at https://secure.nclforms.org/nficweb/OnlineComplaintForm.aspx

However, the phone number will likely lead nowhere or be spoofed.
