I think Turdboi probably holds the record. The Atlanta Lad bait that Capone and I did added up to 21K miles, for several different (failed) meet ups.

I guess, because of all those flights, the atlanta-lad safari was probably the most expensive one (unless he had a way to tap into someone elses bonus miles).

turds safaris had much more pain, because of the long bus rides, the journey through sahara desert on the back of a truck, and several occasions where he had to cross a green border during nighttime on his feet without aid.

and then, there were other funny safaries, some more expensive than others, some with countries in meltdown, or with civil war like situations (most recently eric and franklin in maiduguri).

Loualsindor, Turd did a lot of miles, but they were spread out over 6.5 years. His trip to Egypt was just getting started when he ended up in jail for 6 months.

His Opus was Nigeria to Kenya, to South Africa (with some wandering around, and then a slow migration to Kenya and then Uganda, where he vanished. That last safari was 2 1/2 years. So in all, lots and lots and lots of baby steps. Turkey to Fiji? >bingo< nice deposit on the frequent flier miles for lad.

Very impressive work. I cannot wait to see how it pans out for him.
