Things aren't getting any better for our boys. Today they are waiting in front of a cotton factory. I could pretty much bold this entire message.
Quote: |
Hello Mr Malone,
Good morning! I am writing to inform you that we have watched the
place the police men throw us last night with their police van well
this morning is risky to us, the Chief inspector instructed his boys
to drop us at the center of the road going Korhogo, so that we can't
use leg to come back to the town and we can't use leg to go back to
Korhogo.
The Chief inspector decided to maltreat us that way so that we can
leave the country by forced, because saw that my international
passport stay in Cote d'Ivoire will expire next week.
Please we beg you in the name of God to use your company van and come
in front of IVOIRE COTON COMPANY M'BENGUE to come and pick us back to
where you are to sort out this issue , because any further delay from
here they will be suspecting us why we are here doing nothing and they
might call police to come and question us again which is dangerous for
we to go back to police station again, they warned us to leave
yesterday night that if they catch us again they will jail us.
We are totally confused and frustrated in this country at the moment,
because all the problems we are having in Cote d'Ivoire is due to the
GPS3 delay.
Please call any of our lines below immediately you receive this mail
so that you come and pick us, If you will not come inform us earlier
to leave this place, because we are afraid now.
Hope to hear from you as soon as possible.
Regards
Mr Eric |
Of course Moses is pretty confused about all this:
Quote: |
Hello Mr. Eric,
I am completely confused and do not understand your email. Why did the police arrest you? What did you do wrong?
I do not like that they are treating one of our customers this way! What is the name of the Chief Inspector? I want to do a full investigation of this! GPS does a lot of business in M'bengue and there is no reason that they should be treating you like that!
I am also confused about where you are right now? Did the police leave you in town near the police station? I was hopeful that you could send me a picture so that I would have some idea of where you are at right now because I am not very familiar with this town I have only been here a few times.
Please let me know the name of the Chief Inspector I am going to get to the bottom of all this! The way you have been treated is totally unacceptable! |

If you wanted to be really evil (not that you haven't been already!), you could tell the lads that everything's OK, you've phoned the police to explain the situation, and they can now return to the town without fear.... |

Beautiful. I'm particularly impressed that the police left them stredded halfway along the road to Korhogo, how are they supposed to leave the country if they can't even manage to leg their way to either town?
To be honest I think they are crying a bit too much - looking at the distances involved it's probably just 8-10 hours hike to get into town (even if they can't stow away on a cotton truck). |

M'bengue is even further North, and almost on the Mali border. Wow! Is the Police Chief Inspector expecting them to leave Cote d'Ivoire via Mali? I'd guess that they would likely be refused entry. |

So, they're smelly, penniless, stredded and have just been thrown out of a moving vehicle by the local plod in the middle of nowhere.
Tell them to get over it. Sh*t happens |

Mr L, I am beyond impressed. This is totally awesome!
I think it's time to get them to SH in Bouake, or as others have suggested, tell them you spoke with the Inspector and cleared everything up so they can come back to M'Bengue.
That and Mr U harking the last email and saying that the K-boyz are driving up the road should get them scurrying. |

They are finally starting to get fed up.
Quote: |
Hello Mr Malone,
Thanks for your response.
We don't know the Chief inspector name, it was yesterday at the SARA
PETROLEUM STATION where we are waiting for you to and pick us, three
police men walk in direct to us and question us what we are doing
there, we told them that we are waiting for you to come and pick us,
they arrested us to the station that our staying there outside doing
nothing looks suspicious and they collected your cell phone number to
call you to confirm if we are saying the truth that they are not sure
of what we are saying before they detained us till night and took us
to where we are now that if they see us in M'bengue again that will
jail us.
Regarding the picture you was expecting us to send to you, our phone
cannot attach pictures and their is no Internet cyber Cafe around
here, ask anybody in M'bengue to direct you to IVOIRE COTON INDUSTRY
in M'bengue is not too far from M'bengue town or you let taxi direct
you to the industry and try calling our cell phone numbers, so that it
will be easy for you to locate us.
We are at opposite IVOIRE COTON INDUSTRY M'BENGUE along the road by
your right side if you are coming from M'bengue to Korhogo road and
their are a lot long vehicles parking in front the industry .
If you are not coming please let us know in time than, because staying
here is another to us.
Hope to see you as soon as possible.
Mr Eric |
Moses sends a very optimistic email:
Quote: |
Wait you are in front of the cotton factory? Good! I know where that is! Stay put and I will be right there to get you! |
Then I went to bed.
Quote: |
Hello Mr Malone,
Thanks for your response.
Yes of course , we are standing opposite the IVOIRE COTON FACTORY at
the moment.
I am wearing blue top jeans and Franklin wear red top T shirt.
Please help us to come earlier, because our Internet bundle will
finish before 12pm to be checking our mail.
We wait to see you soonest
Regards |
Quote: |
Hello Mr Malone,
Good afternoon! I am writing to inform you that we are still standing
at the IVOIRE COTON FACTORY opposite, in case if you write us through
email we did not respond, because our Internet bundle will finish soon
which we don't know the actual time. But our cell phone numbers will
be on till 3pm.
We will still be there waiting for you to come and pick us.
Regards.
Mr Eric. |
Quote: |
Hello Mr Malone,
How are you doing? We have waited for you for so long for you to come
and pick us at IVOIRE COTON FACTORY.
We are totally mad and confuse why the delay, because we don't want to
get any problem with Ivory coast police again and people at the place
where we are waiting for you now have started asking us why we still
here up till now and we begged them to allow us to wait for you till
night.
I am writing to inform you that if we wait you till night and you did
not come and take us out from here, we've make up our minds to start
going back to Ghana from tomorrow morning.
We are still at the IVOIRE COTON FACTORY waiting for you till 6am
tomorrow morning before we leave, because we don't want the police
men to meet us here tomorrow, because they warned us to leave today. |
Moses informs them that this is all their fault:
Quote: |
Mr Eric,
I simply do not understand what is going on! What cotton factory are you at? I went to the big cotton factory just outside of town today and you were nowhere to be seen. I then spent the rest of the day driving to nearby villages and asking if there were any other cotton factories that I was unaware of. I went to cotton factory after cotton factory and I did not see you at any of them!?!
You don't need to worry about the police. I will not allow you to give them a hard time again! You are a guest of GPS3 and they have no right to treat you badly!
I don't understand why you would go back to Ghana? We are in the same town! I just can't find you! If you could just send me a picture it would be so much easier but you are unprepared and that is making this all very difficult for me!
Why don't you just come to my hotel? It is at the main intersection in town. I am in room number 7. Just come here and meet me! |

well, they weren't looking suspiciously, but they were stinking suspiciously
I looked at google maps and at the whole route between korhogo and m'bengué. well, there is just one fairly large factory, directly south of the city (a kilometer or so). I guess, they are over there.
without internet access, it might be much more difficult to stay in touch with you, or they become desperate enough to do anything to get a new subscription.
my guess: those iphones were promising enough to get money... in other words, they already sold a few of those iphones. and now, they have to show up with those iphones.
bad situation... for them. |

I think I see the cotton factory south of town too. Huge place, lots of trucks parked right by the road as they describe. It's a charming place.
I hope their plan of getting back to Ghana includes hopping one of the semi trucks. |

Eric is really losing patience with Moses:
Quote: |
Hello Mr Malone,
We are highly disappointed with your mail, the cotton company where we
are is IVOIRE COTON INDUSTRY is very big company, along road from
M'bengue town to Korhogo, because there is no another road from
M'bengue town to Korhogo.
We gave our two phone numbers yesterday to call us but you can't call,
this night you started telling us that you move around the town and
you couldn't find us.
To be honest with you, the drivers at the company that promised to
help us back to Korhogo told us that they will be leaving morning
around 7am tomorrow. if not they will misunderstand us and they might
inform police that dropped us here which if the come we can get you on
phone to explain to them.
If you are willing to come and pick us you have to come here before
7am or else once the drivers are ready we will go.
We are still wondering why you brought us here and you don't even care
to call our line even a second.
We wait to see you before 7am or your call
Good night. |
Some more world-class whining:
Quote: |
Hello Mr Malone,
Greetings, I am writing to remind you that we are traveling back to
Korhogo this morning latest 8am depends on drivers who promised to
help us back to Korhogo, if you can be fast to meet us before then
call any of our lines we gave you to direct well.
Honestly, we don't want to enter into police custody again or die in
this country because of this package. You invited us to come to this
country getting to two months, we have respected you and took the risk
all the way from Ghana to M'bengue still we have never set our eyes on
you or what we came for.
The police questioned us why we are here and what we are doing in this
country and we explained to them that you invited us to come and pick
up our package GPS delivered wrong delivering, they checked
our names in their system to know if our names have been in crime list
In Cote d'Ivoire and they did not find any of us in their list that is
the reason why they advised us to go back to Ghana.
To be honest with you, I am writing this letter with tears after all
the risk we have take in this country, we are going back with empty
hands and we don't even have money for transportation back to Ghana.
God in heaven knows that since we came to this country that we have
never sleep inside house for over one week since we came to Cote
d'Ivoire.
We thank God today that we are alive and Franklin did not died in this
country, we also thank God for sending us good Samaritans to be giving
us food and money to recharge our Internet so that we can achieve what
we came for but you did not care how we are surviving here in Cote
d'Ivoire.
We believe that God will still send people to contribute money for us
to reach Ghana safely, because Franklin is going to bury his late
father by next week.
You have a copy of his identity and our pictures, you can go back to
Mali and send the package from Bamako Mali to Ghana with the money in
the package and send us the shipping receipt for our references, if
you cannot do that send it back to Brother Dan Hamilton so that he
will use another different shipping company to resend it to Ghana.
We will forward a copy of this letter to Brother Dan Hamilton to know
what is going on at this point.
Thanks |
Moses will make this right!
Quote: |
Mr Eric,
Please just stay where you are at the cotton factory. I will check with the hotel staff and have them take me to where you are this morning.
I will make this right. You have my word as Regional manager of GPS3! |
They really seem to want to leave M'bengue...
Quote: |
Hello Mr Malone
Thanks for your response. The coton factory we are talking about is
along road from M'bengue going to Korhogo and is only one road lead
from M'bengue to Korhogo.
The name they wrote on their two big gate is IVOIRE COTON and if you
are coming you will see a lot of long vehicle two sides in front of
the company.
The Driver that promised to take us back to Korhogo told us to wait
for him to sign paper before we leave but if you are sure that you are
coming try to come Korhogo road as soon as possible.
Call our line immediately you receive this mail to confirm that you
are coming or if we didn't receive your call and the is ready to go we
don't have any other option than to join him back to Korhogo.
Thanks. |
Moses will be on the way soon. And he's bringing a friend!
Quote: |
Yes, I am coming to get you. I spoke with the hotel and they explained to me where you are. Now I understand! You are at the cotton factory between Korhogo and M'bengue. I didn't think to check that one yesterday!
I will be leaving as soon as I check the oil on the van and gas it up. I expect to be there within the hour.
I also got an email from a man named Dikembe, he says that he is a new GPS employee that I have not met yet since I have not been at our Korhogo office in several weeks. They must have hired him after we had to sack Mr. Randy and Mr. Bahbango. I told him that I am in M'bengue and he has offered to come up here and meet with me this morning to help with the package delivery. It will be nice to have the help I have been very stressed out here.
Dikembe and I will see you very soon at the IVOIRE COTON FACTORY. |
