Hello!
My brother was almost caught out by a firm offering him a job in Indonesia of all places! Poor sod actually had 2 fake telephone interviews and was about to forward across all of his passport details and such so they could purchase tickets on his behalf. They haven't actually asked him for any money yet but I'm sure a visa fee or admin charge of some sorts was soon to be requested. Not sure what to advise to give him on how to deal with the situation now... Website address of the "recruitment firm" is sharp-recruitment.com.
Regards,
Tom |

The website was anonymously registered in November and the site itself has no physical contact details except a phone number, which is probably in the UK (no country code), so it definitely looks like a scam.
The best thing for your brother to do is just drop all contact with the scammers and not accuse them as they will just deny it.
If you could also post the full details (email addresses, examples of the mails, etc) at out sister site ScamWarners.com that will help other victims- |
