I have never taken part in a pet bait -- just your usual advanced fee schtuff?

The Cameroonian scammers will tell you they can anywhere in the world which is total BS.

The bird scammers often run other scam so exposing the email address can have a far reaching effect.

/\/\/\ As of 1993, it is illegal worldwide to ship any wild parrot out of its native homeland. That law did invoke a huge black market at the time. It was pretty well whacked when the exports that did survive were bred in captivity,
producing a huge hand-reared, legal supply which more than met the demands of the pet trade. The biggest help was when people wised up as to the true nature of the illegal exportation of wild birds.

ETA: I do see that Lad #2 is only offering hand-feds, which is perfectly legal as long as they are born of captive bred parents. HINT: His prices are wayyyyyy off Cool

/\/\/\ Oh, without a doubt!!! As I noted, his "prices" are about 1/4 what they should be; furthermore -- it is illegal to own owls as pets in the US. Most other countries either ban it or require special permitting.

The candle test is to see if the egg is fertile or infertile.

/\/\/\ No. Agnomen is right about candling eggs to see if they are fertile. But sexing can NOT be done until after the chick hatches. Then the fresh eggshells can be sent to an avian lab for DNA testing.
