The problem with using another character to bait him is that he does not throw formats. He's a wash-wash specialist who only occasionally works with/for buddies in Nigeria.

The original lad approached Sue directly, by name. It was not a generic format, I'm sure he got the info from one of the many lads I've baited previously with the same backstory for Sue.

This was never an ordinary bait given that the lad targeted me specifically. Turning the job over to a US-based lad is a new twist I have never encountered before and made it all the more unusual.

The uniquely targeted nature of the scam does not leave any option to go at him with an ASEM. He doesn't work that way.

^^ I hear ya there, but isn't it plausible given that FL knows all about them and has their info, and is no doubt the vindictive type, that he could start subscribing them to gay porn sites or something? Then they could be mass mailed by all the potential suiters from said sites or something along those lines. It would explain the flood of incoming mail and how their info got out.
I guess I'm asking if it would be in character(and a way to waste just a tad more of their time and make them a tad more irritated) for FL to just taunt them a bit in such a manner? Or really just give them some shit in general?
It wouldn't affect the outcome of the whole sue side of things in any way after all. Just a thought. Wink

You guys know your lads best, so while I would love to give this lad more pain and suffering, I respect your decision.

The only thing that is bothering me is the special service for Jeffery. I hope he did not ask for a special offering which would land in AL hands.

This is indeed one of the greatest baits we have seen.

AL is a major player who has suffered some genuine, costly pain not only in time and money wasted but in "oportunity costs:" i.e.: the money he would have gained had he been using his time in scamming real victims.

There is no way these guys are not feeling the hurt to their resources. AL's arrogance deserves all the slapping and confusion he has gotten. All of this was done over an amazingly short period. It has been highly effective--and we hope will also make both AL and LL very wary of their intended victims AND their allies--that is a bEAUTIFUL think.

The decision to leave them hanging is excellent because of its effectiveness in demoralizing lads and sewing thier distrust in victims and fellow scammers. And indeed. it is better to err on the side of safety. AL is resourcefull, he has the ability to travel far and fast and take along companions. he last thing we want is for him to understand anything like the truth. let him hate and admire FL. Let Legos Lad hate Atlanta Lad and vice versa for all the misery and loss each believes the other is responsible for bringing.

This is a fitting and good end.

I applaud everyone involved. Entertaining? Yes, but more importantly it was a job well dpone and in fact genuine good has come from it.

I agree with the above, its been an amazing bait with an equally amazing storyline. I know its against the rules but a tiny piece of me would like to see them burned! Explained to them that that is how a victim feels. Cheated, frustrated, hurt and a damn sight poorer. I expect water of a ducks back though, they wouldn't care and just carry on.

Again well done all concerned, excellent stuff, a job really really well done.

I hadn't realized that this bait had continued, so I spent the last hour and a half catching up.

I like how Sue left off with something strange happened...

And I like bware419ers idea about the dead husband calling.

I'm not sure how he died, was it an accident, natural, or what? If an accident, you could always say it was someone else killed and the husband just woke up from a years-long coma. Or he faked his death.

I'd enjoy doing calls as him (thanks for the shoutout bware419ers and Capone), though I think there are better male phone baiters than me.

Though, I also understand the reason for ending it.

Absolutely fantastic. A special thank you for taking the extra time to explain your rationale for doing certain things (ie sending AL to Aspen vs Alaska). Surely this will be a greatest hit!

Now, is there any way we can get this guy arrested? Surely, there has to be ONE jurisdiction in the US that would bust him, if he could just be delivered to that jurisdiction. It is an election year, and politicians love themselves some headlines.

I could be wrong but as I read it, I think Atlanta Lad is finished. He's had enough. He "has decided to drop delivery" and is threatening to sue Sue. Laughing

If he were still in the game, he would have written too, but he's gone silent.

Lagos Lad started this job and is clearly hoping he can finish it on his own. But he's in a bind because he doesn't have a US accomplice to work with him now so he has to make up a story and try to get Sue to send money by WU. Unfortunately for him, Fake Lad has her under his control.

I seriously hope that LL is on hook for part of AL's travel expenses.

It's a great map but it's incomplete since it shows one-way travels. For example, the Seattle-ATL leg is his return after going up unannounced from Las Vegas. After that he made a round trip from ATL to SEA. But it does show all of the destinations he visited. Pretty impressive! Very Happy

JF = If the mugu is considering a lawsuit, you might have your attorney (of the noted firm of Cheatham & Steele) contact the mugu. Maybe he would agree to mediation to avoid litigation? Surely, with the right mediator, he would get a satisfactory outcome without all the delay and publicity of a court case?
