Charlie there is a way to frustrate the hell out of a mugu if I ever saw one, lets take alllll the email addresses that we have for mugus, sign them up for every porn , gay , dating, sexual toy store sights on the net, have their email box flooded with offers for sex, enjoyment you name it.

why stop there , how about a few ezine sites too those are always good for millions of worthless emails.

I think you may share the copyright of the picture.

I read about recording crank calls and how you could publish the audio as long as you didn't charge for it because it was a joint work.

As you did some of the work to get the picture, suggested the sign for example, I think you share the copyright with our MUGU friend. And as long as you don't charge for the site or generate revenue with banners there's not a think he can do.

Ah Chilli ... a very appropriate description of my trip (by midget submarine) to Belarus. It's minus 15 degrees C in Soligorsk with 1 metre of snow on the ground.
The probable reason that my stats don't show up is because I was communicating via satellite because all the telephone lines are frozen and likely to remain so for a few weeks.

Ask barrister Richard; he'll confirm that. He knows it's true cos I told him so and I'm an honourable and trustful man. So there!!!.

I can answer that:

Because, in spamming the hell out of them, they'll just open new email accounts. Spamming them won't further our purposes; it will only make it more difficult for us to do what we do. And in the time it would take for us to get back in touch with our mugu's, they might have hooked some poor sucker who really WILL send them $1000, $2000, $5000 or more.

Lord Vader, don't get worried about the tiny percentage from Nigeria. I think that would be accounted for by Oyibo who is a genuine member and happens to live there. Shiver could probably confirm if the percentage is reasonable?

and remember that when we try to locate an IP, the majority of ones from lads come up as satellite providers, normally in the US or elsewhere.

just make sure it's their second email (the one they use after your hooked) to flood any real replies under tonnes of spam

Tell our "419 Poster Child" that he has been selected for 2004 to serve as the living embodiment of the 419 scam. Offer to send him a tiara. Seriously, tell him that he should say to his friends, "I am so notorious as a guyman that the world picks me to represent 419."

On another issue, I have been making the point that we should never cross the line into illegality because someday we will embarass someone big in 419 and they will turn to a Nigerian prosecutor in an attempt to get one of use extradited to Nigeria on trumped up charges. You saw it on the Nigerian post that was put up here. The general rule is if you humiliate a criminal they will strike back, that being in the nature of criminals.

The picture is not going to be a source of grief as long as you have the
e-mails. I would e-mail our Poster Child a file of his 419 e-mails to remind him that he volunteered the picture during the commission of a crime. He offered the picture as an inducement to obtain money by fraud. He would have to admit this in any legal action he brought, which I doubt he will because he stands to lose far more than this website.

You need to hire a lawyer!
(with a hotmail account)
And get him to write to the plaintiff (your mugu) and try and get some legalistic dialog happening.

Thereby, should the aforesaid party, to be referred to as the first party, then attempt some sort of caveat order, whereby the party of the second part (to be referred to as the second party) shall in, of or pertaining to yourself, in this matter whereforeinasmuchas the locus parentii, res ips eloquita, volenti non fit injuria knocks spots off the habeas corpus as far as the jurisdiction extends ...... etc
