After spending three days laughing my head off reading your scammer baiting I had to join the forum!

I think I've just found a new sport

I'm not as techno savvy as some of you 'pro' baiters are, neither are mails as eloquent but I'm up for a bit of baiting Smile

WELCOME!! Read, read and then read some more and you'll be able to get an idea of what type of bait(s) and character(s) you want to create.

I have a few baits in my sig line, read those...just to forewarn you, don't have food or beverages when you read the threads. Evil Lol

Get a mentor and most importantly, bait safe and have a lot of fun!!!

It can work to your advantage being a techno-phobe (like me),it is possible to bait without all the bells a whistles and still cause pain a plenty.If you do get stuck, there are plenty of people willing to help.

Welcome to Eater, DTPM! Bait safe, as everyone says, pick up a lad from Surplus and have a go. You'd be surprised at how creatvity lurks within you. Read the stickies, they are full of useful info. And you may want to cosider signing up for a mentor.

As an aside; you don't need to be really technical to do this. It helps a bit but since this is mainly a psychology and social engineering exercise, most people who sign up already have a full skillset. They just need a few pointers to see how to apply it fully to the problem in hand. Surprisingly few pointers, usually.

I've already made a small booboo by only setting up a baiter account, I wasn't aware of catcher accounts.

Not every Baiter opens a catcher account too. I get some stray E-mails in some of my accounts but I've never setup an account just to catch Knuckleheads with it.

I certainly don't want to discourage you from operating one though.

The last few posts here http://forum.419eater.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=248126 discuss the pros and cons of having a catcher account.

As I said in that thread, it's down to personal preference - there's certainly no wrong or right option.
