There are many great moments but I caught this match on TV last Sunday. If you saw it you will know why it was quite the event. Not only did he set a record the match was interrupted several times by protests of varying degree.

@The Dane - The day after the Hagler/Hearns fight Pizza Hut ran an Ad that had the Victor enjoying his slice and pondering something like: 'I wonder what the other guy is eating? Probably Soup.'

I remember seeing my Girlfreind cry and having to hug her and stuff when the following happened. At the time I thought this is really strange but I am still with her so it couldn't have been all that bad:

@bo: I remember that game well. I was home on leave and a bunch of us were down at the bar cheering for the Mets Smile

I’ve got a few memorable sports moments:

1) When Syracuse University (SU) won the NCAA basketball title against Kansas in 2003:

The above video is about 2 minutes.

It was a nailbiter!!!!! Kansas had a chance to tie it with 1.5 seconds left. Memories of SU’s loss to Indiana in 1987.

2) Buffalo Bills comeback against the Houston Oilers in the playoffs in 1993. They were down 35-3 at the beginning of the second half, and they came back and won 41-38!!!

The above video is about 9 minutes. At the time, it was the greatest comeback ever in NFL history. It probably still is.

Which bring us to my very favorite. It was the “Monday Night Miracle,” which featured my New York Jets against the hated and despised Miami Dolphins in 2000 (can you tell I’m a Jets fan?? Smile

) Jets were down 30-7 in the fourth quarter, and they won 40-37 in overtime. It was ranked as the #5 best comeback.

What was great was Arnold Schwarzenegger predicted the comeback (he was a guest in the booth).

^^A couple of years we were coming back into Detroit from Windsor. The US ICE guy was going through the standard list of questions and when I told him our residence he looked at me asked, "are you Buckeye fans?" I answered, not especially and told him the Big Ten school I attended. His mood brightened and I was on my way.

Which brings me to a great sports moment every Wolverine should enjoy.

Ohio State fired Earle Bruce the next day, but it wasn't his last game. He went on to beat Michigan (sorry!) the next week as a lame duck.
