Are these scams? I took one yesterday so I could see how they could lower my CC interest rate when I do not have a CC.

They lead you to believe without actually saying that they are from your CC company.

I gave them a fake CC# and after a while of trying to get it to work I told them it was fake.


Scam or just walking the line?

In general flat out scam and/or vishing.

They charge users for a service they don't intend to deliver, and they collect your credit card information in the process.
