Maybe the recession meant many folk, like me, were waiting to see what finances were like before commiting to buying tickets

The Olympics is one theory I've heard also, security is all there. Personally I can't reccomend bloodstock enough, I went last year and its brilliant. Cheap tickets, good bands (imho) but most importantly for festivals the bogs are cleaned twice a day |

Elder son had it on as he cooked a roast dinner - dead cow for him with herb crust , wine and onion gravy, he did me some lovely roast root veg, roast tatties with garlic and rosemary, carrots with lemon and honey, parsnips roasted in chilli oil
