I have a guy prepared to meet my 'contact' at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport on the 25th so UI have a few days to get this in line.

My contact is supposedly buying a crown for 30,000 plus reimbursing the lad for his travel expenses. He claims to be traveling from Ghana (probably already in lagos though)

Anyways any tips on how to make this fun for me and a huge nightmare for the lad would be appreciated.

Tell him again and again that you will pay for his ticket back home

Promise him money and other gifts, such as electronics, for his eforts

Yeah he thinks I am paying him for the whole trip.

How to I pull off the whole not showing up thing?

Tell him specifically not to purchase his ticket back home Twisted Evil

If you can, gather some of your electronics and cash, send him a photo of everything saying "this is for you", that way it will seem more tangible

as for not showing up tell him there was a problem with your flight and you are stranded somewhere, let him wait in the airport for a while

You said he claims to be in Ghana. What do the ip results show? If your going for a safari you are going to want to prove it. Lads lie you know Smile

Yes to get the header click on the arrow next to "other actions" below the delete button. Then click "view source" a new screen will pop up with the email header. Copy and paste it here http://iptrackeronline.com/header.php to get the originating IP. It should show where he depending on the email provider he is using.

No safari for him I guess.

Yeah it's pretty important to know where your lad is before you try a safari. You sometimes even have to convince the lad to change email accounts if he's using gmail. It typically takes quite a bit if time, convincing and luck to get a lad to travel for you.

Why not? Tell him you were re-routed to Ghana & will have to meet him at the airport there - much closer for him Wink

- He'll need to take a picture of the arrival lounge so you know what it looks like & don't look confused when you get off the plane (confused traveler is more likely to become victim, etc etc). See if you can weasel a way to get a pic of "today's newspaper" in there somewhere ... something obscure from Ghana - not readily available on the streets of Lagos ... (make sure it's not the Accra Daily Mail).
