I only found a screen cap of this, but it's irritating to me. It has the email addy in it, but the subject matter is disgusting and PayPal is in the subject line. I have nothing more than a picture here.

This claims to deal with CP/snuff downloads. Like I said BRUIN, very disturbing!

I am not sure what (if anything) we can do about it. It is not the sort of scam that we usually bait.

It might be better addressed by law enforcement. You might be well advised to contact the mods, and suggest that they pass the info on to their L.E. contacts.

This is not something we can doing anything about. I suggest you report it to the FBI: http://www.ic3.gov/default.aspx

You could also contact Paypal; they would surely want to know if their service is being used for such downloads.

Wow I got the same thing from my email, about an hour or so ago.

I checked into emails like this before, I sent one to Ic3 and they said it was some sort of scam, and they really aren’t selling what they claimr.

This was one of the few times that anyone from Ic3 actually responded.

It does need reporting, but there's one other possibility: it could be a trojan, a way to get people (very sick ones) to click a malware link.

I am looking for a way to report this to both PP and the FBI but I am not about to put my personal info out there for either.

What I got offered “snuff films” with no real explanation.

A very large number of Americans and people worldwide have seen and bought “snuff films”. Who has seen or bought anything that had the “Zapruder film” in it. This is a real snuff film of an American president.

I am leaning towards it being some sort of scam.

I have gotten offers selling questionable things heroin, rocket launchers, child porn, and yeah I think I have had offers for snuff films in the past. I was given offers to buy anything questionable under the sun.

I sent a few to IC3, and they said its some sort of scam.

This might be different and these offers we received may be what we think they are.

The angel could be, lets say you sent money , or use your credit card to purchase this. You be less likely to report you being scammed

I am not against reporting this, just put things in perspective.

Yeah that was about the same exact email I received and had received in the past.

If it has anything that can be killed, like urls these should be killed with caution. Mostly because the site might have viruses or even what it really offers.

has anyone email the email address in question? If so has anything additional be offered?

One solution I offer, I am wary of is, getting your local police involved. Lets say this is a real offer, this could cause a whole bunch of unneeded and unjustified government interference in you life. LE could wonder what you are really up to, that would cause you to get such an email. Just because I (we ) know better doesn’t always mean LE knows better.

Emails like this could show a very clever scam, that no one would ever report?
