I don't know how I feel about this. I've driven on that very same road, and can only imagine that if you're doing 130 with a couple of drinks in you and nick a guardrail, you're in for some serious air time and a quick end. At least he and his passenger didn't suffer. But now their families and friends are. Crying or Very sad

Edit: @bo, thank you for that! I had not seen the stunt lad's work before! It lightened my mood considerably!

I hear allot of sympathies for him all over the place, but what about the passenger?

It is sad that the passenger died. But if you decide to take a drive with someone that drunk you are playing a dangerous game. And the passenger lost this one. And as Bart pointed out. Drunk driver get no sympathy points from me. I am just grateful that he didn't crash into a passing car with a family with kids.

This is why, when I'm driving and get offered 'just one drink', I always say 'no' very firmly - I don't do 'just one drink'. In the old days, hours later I was trying to drive home with one eye shut.

Surprising I'm still here, really.
