re ^^ it was an automatic welder firing 150 amps into aluminium. I was adjusting it and ended up staying for five minutes instead of ten seconds, wearing gas goggles instead of a full mask. It was over a week before I could go about without my head covered in vaseline, and a lot longer to heal properly. I reckon I'd have lost a full thickness of skin if I'd been there ten minutes instead of five. All things considered, I got off pretty light, heh heh

While working in a fast food place, I once cut my finger badly on the soda machine. Never figured out how I pulled that off.

I've been undergoing Physiotherapy on my shoulder for almost a year.
We still dont know what the problem is.

I have a "racist" dog. He absolutely loves everything and everyone except for collies. With other types of dogs and with humans he's the most lovable, playful dog you could imagine, but when he sees collies he starts snarling and barking.

I was almost struck by lightning. I felt my hair kind of stand on end and it hit a wet sidewalk about 75 yards in front of me. My umbrella broke most of my fall, one shoe came off, and my pants unzipped. I don't believe the adage that 'lightning never strikes twice', so I was up, reshoed, zipped, and off at a run to the subway station in the blink of an eye. Unfortunately I couldn't see or hear very well for a few minutes, but I knew the route. I still can't figure out the unzipping thing. Embarassed

Edited twice because I can't freaking spell. So many site reports today...

First time i shot a sniper rifle was 3 years ago.
I was 11, and was using a 1950 Standard British paratrooper training rifle (Dont know the model name, its my grandads, he was a para)
I had the gun resting to my shoulder with the scope directly at my eye.
Surprisngly, i woke up the next day with a bruised shoulder, and a purple ring around my eye.

Recoil hurts.
