As most of you already know, there have been presidential elections in Nigeria. The former president, Goodluck Jonathan, seems to be the winner again. Followers of the other candidate, Muhamadu Buhari, have started to riot.

The questions are: How is this going to affect our baits and how can we use it in our advantage?

well im assuming a great deal of "money" is gonna be wanted to moved out of the country. Might get a few more safaris too, people smuggling etc all sorts of crap could appear in various catcher accounts.

One way could be to send a Lagos lad (whom are presumably Christian) to the Muslim dominated northern part of Nigeria. Most Christians voted for Goodluck whereas Buhari was the popular choice for Muslims.

Has there been an increase in the number of baiters claiming to be refugees, or facing religious discrimination?

Correct me if i'm wrong, but aren't there organised crime gangs in Nigeria who set up the scammers? If so, then I wonder if they are stepping up the number of baits, in order to raise money to buy arms.

Majority of Nigerian gangs deal with people/drug trafficking and fraud, it's possible that they are engaged in arms, but alot of arms in Africa have actually been there for decades, AK-47's are hard and reliable weapons.

They probably welcome the war more for the opportunities for script stories and the chaos that will provide a blanket for their other business interests.
