I think the logo is Guy Fawkes - he was executed around 1606 (thats spy talk for six minutes past four in the afternoon).

I don't believe it is actually "Guy Fawkes" per se, but rather the character V (who, I suppose, is actually based on Guy Fawkes so in a way, you are spot on.... erm.. Spot! Very Happy

), from "V for Vendetta", an excellent movie containing the above clip that the delightful Miss Portman appears in. It's also one of my favourite films.

It is also an excellent choice of character for both 4chan, and ourselves, given the anonymous nature of our work! Very Happy

Also ties in with Bonfire night! Very Happy

You think so...Remember, remember the 2nd of November!

Without going into too much politque, it is midterm election day today in the U.S. Half of Congress is up for grabs. Could be big changes, could be none. We shall see later tonite. One thing for sure it is going to dominate U.S. broadcasts tonite.

Am keeping my fingers crossed that it doesn't rain on Friday evening because Bonfire Night is one of my fav celebrations; the fireworks have been bought, the wood is ready to be made into a bonfire (we don't make it in advance cos of hedgehogs etc liking to snuggle down in wood piles), the guy has been made, the toffee apples will be made Friday afternoon and the jacket spuds will be wrapped and bonfired Very Happy

@ Evil - you're correct, it is the lead character from 'V for Vendetta'. I enjoyed the film, but saw it before reading the graphic novel it was based on. Have you read it - by Alan Moore? Much more depth/colour/issues - the film left out so much (timing issues I guess) and changed the story to suit - to the point where Moore officially distanced himself from it. The film's still a good watch, but it's worth checking out the original source material if you haven't. Be warned though, it's quite dark/bleak in places - he has some strange ideas!

By battle I mean it appears the logo changed back and forth for a page when I wrote that. Gimp is confuzzling to me, need to find a tutorial.
