Is there anyway somebody can hack your Gmail account without your password. I’ve been getting funny pop ups about database being busy etc.But also to quick to read proper. |

What OS are you running, sounds like you have some malware, or fell victim to a phishing site. |

Can you post a screen shot of the pop-up? We're not really a computer help site, but I'll give it a shot. |

That’s the problem it pops up and disappear. If I close my Gmail and log in again 100%. But also this does not always happen. Maybe it is a genuine Gmail thing and I’m being paranoid |

That's a good thing. XP is still weak, despite all of the "updates". Are the pop ups only coming when you access Gmail? |

That sounds very Gmail specific.
My advice: Narrow it down to Gmail, or your OS. Download a Linux live CD, boot it, and access that Gmail account. If the problems go away, then it is the OS, if the problems persist, then it is a hacked/compromised account.
Suggested Linux Live CD's

Actually, I gave some bad advice. Those Live CD's will load a fresh version of Firefox, and will not let you know if your Firefox was compromised. I'm headed to bed, hopefully some other computer tech support will be along to help you. |

My gmail is giving me trouble fetching email from linked POP-accounts today. It's horribly slow and after a certain amount of time it says it can't fetch email from POP, when I look in settings it then says it's still working on fetching those messages.
Apart from that it also just seems slower than usual. Maybe Google's server's are actually having a tough day. Maybe Google's live search is producing more load than they were anticipating?
It's strange that it should be one account only... but still, if you're account were compromised it probably wouldn't give that kind of error message. Have you tried checking the IP-activity on the account and see if it's only your IP there?
ETA: That link doesn't seem to be working anymore... |

I have been experiencing the same delay issues. I don't get a pop up but when accessing one of my accounts that has a large number of photos and HUGE "passport" zip files it takes a long time to load. It might just be a coincidence as I haven't cleaned out my e-mail box to see if there is a difference but it doesn't happen on my newer/less used accounts.
On a side note - Live search is very annoying! I miss plain old Google. *sigh* |

Have you tried another browser over XP, to narrow down between the OS and browser? Try one of these and see if you can replicate the problem. What does the pop up say? I've never had Gmail give me a pop up, but I have had some messages at the top of the page, like Gmail checking for a secondary email address, or pushing out new features. Is it a true pop up, in a separate tab?

Top right of the Google page, you can disable Live Search |
