Just wanted to put down some thoughts and perhaps help any other noobs who are finding their feet, like me.

Been here for a handful of days now, and the initial excitement has eased off to a far more sensible and sustainable satisfaction .. hehe. But then, it's easy to feel that revved up when you first join up, with all those high octane scambaits going on, and you can't help getting caught up in the fun.

But really, this is a long game, I'm discovering. Not so much a headlong rush at the lads but teasing out the end of a string and then slowly winding it in so it doesn't break. Like fishing, really, in a lake full of wily fish.

Been reading everything and working through the tutorial threads to get a good feel for the kind of slow but inexorable pressure to put on the lads, and I'm getting the picture. I'm starting out with some low key straight baiting so as to get into the rhythm of the thing, and being patient rather than replying immediately when they write back. Keeping notes and jotting down possible questions to waste more of their time. Keeping my story straight. Developing my character to be believable.

There is wonderful advice everywhere. Now waiting for my mentor to be in touch for when my current scambaits start getting deeper.

Got lots to learn, and I'm really enjoying this! Nice to be evil without the guilt ... MWAHHHH HA HA HA HAAAAAaaaaaaaaa

Thanks Battery and Vampiremerchant. Oh it's definitely a laugh isn't it. My cackling is coming along nicely. Twisted Evil

Fleshing out my character(s) is fun, and planning the little throwaway mentions of this and that to whet their interest. Getting them off script. Screwing with their brains. Softly softly catchee bastards. MUAAHHHHH HA HA haaaaaaaaaa

Thanks again all!

Brainiac - I suddenly realised that the lads call their victims "mugus" too, so rather than throw any nasturtiums I decided to change the pic. Very Happy
