I was disappointed I wasn't getting any spam except for viagra type ads (which, being female, are really stupid) when one of the mods suggested signing guestbooks. I didn't know how this worked, but found one and signed it. Ten minutes later, wallah! It was marked Urgent, and he has been sending me emails as soon as I respond to him.

Okaaaay. He forgets to add my name, says his client Mr. Andrew has the same last name, except my character's last name is Huu. He also doesn't make it clear WHY I should do this.

(initial deposit) due to the fact that he died with his immediate family members.

After preliminary efforts of search which came to no avail, We were given an ultimatum about six months back, to look for someone to come for the claim or have the funds liquidated and made unserviceable in accordance with existing laws because it will be assumed that no member of his extended family is alive. However, it might interest you to know that after a thorough investigation in the finance company, I found out that some members of the company are currently planning to divert this funds in their selfish interest and only want to use the excuse that since I am not able to look for someone to make the claim, the money should be made unserviceable and that means reverting the fund to the Government while the company retains a percentage of it.

After unravelling their plans and professional consideration on my part, I decided to look for someone credible with the same last name with my late client, to apply for this claim due to the fact that I have at my possession legal documents which are very important and which are evidence of the deposited funds.This documents can only be provided by my chambers since they have since been with us.

I know that you will be able to make this claim successfully because of your peculiar last name which is the same as that of my late client's. As a result of this it is very important that you handle this transaction with discretion, and keep my contacting you personal even in your communication with the bank.

I urge you to be very confident in handling this matter if we must succeed. I want to assure you that the bank will not make any repatriations whatsoever of this deposit without first contacting my firm and it is on this ground I rest the success of this transaction. I only need you to make the first contact and even though you may have to speak with any of the bank officials, you only have to be firm on your stand as a family relative of this man. I am also very sure that there are no known actual family members of this man as I have been on the search widely since the demise of my client and his immediate family.

Like I said earlier, my main purpose of contacting you this time is because this claim is time constrained. Please note that "I ALONE, AS EXECUTOR TO MY LATE CLIENT, WILL BE CONTACTED TO VERIFY YOUR CREDIBILITY AS NEXT OF KIN ON THIS MATTER". I have every necessary document that will be needed in order to administer this deposit to you, and I know that your being in possession of the original copies of these essential deposit documents present an incontestable PRIMA FACIE evidence of your close relationship with Mr. Andrew so also does your being able to prove that you have the same last name. You will also agree with me that it is impossible for a total stranger to come in custody of such documents and this suggest the reason you must stand firm on your relationship with Mr. Andrew Huu until a time when the bank shall invite me (my firm) as executor to the estates of Mr. Andrew

I really hope you understand my attempt at an explanation. I will also let you know that I have the original copies of these documents and "ONLY" the bank have secondary copies which makes it impossible for any other person(s) to put up claims either at this time or in the future. I am taking my time to explain all these to you because I want you to see the transparency of this transaction and why this transaction has to be kept really confidential in order for us to be able to achieve our goal neatly.

NOTE that if they request to know how you came to know that your family member (Andrew) had such an amount of funds with them, which I am not sure they will ask, but in order to be on the safer side, if you are asked, be confident to tell them that the extended family discovered some documents in his archives showing that Mr Andrew Huu lodged such funds with them and that is why you have been sent by the paternal family to contact the bank. Anyway, further deliberations will be held on this as we proceed.

I will send you details of the bank, and advice on how you will make your contact shortly after I received your response to this email. If you have any questions, please let me know.

Gee, I'm glad he's from Malaysia so I know he's honest. I'd hate it if he were one of those Nigerian scammers!
