I have set up a Charity Auction for my church character to see if I could get one of my lads to do a painting of my dog to sell at the auction.

Here is the original photo of my dog i sent him to paint:

I got this in my inbox today:

That is actually quite good. I'm impressed. Maybe the eater admins should set up an art gallery and sell lad art to help support the site.

Edit: Btw, $300,- for a painting like that isn't expensive at all.

Yes, if they manage to paint and sell it like art they would make even more than by scamming and it would be legal.. They wouldnt hurt other people and so on and so on..

OK... I'm new here, so I'm assuming everybody already realizes this is just a quick "cartoonize it" click-of-a-button in even the cheapest image editing program... right? Shocked

Yes, Photoshop has this function, but then the 'shopped' image would look faked and identical to the original image. There are far too many differences between the original and the painting for this to be a Photoshop filter.

If you're struggling to pick up the differences (and there are many), have a look at the dog's right paw. The painting of it looks COMPLETELY different to the photo.

Just an update that the painting has arrived at my drop-box and I go to pick it up tomorrow, thank you so much Jeff.

After a massive battle to get this lad to mail the painting, good triumphed over evil and he sent it
