After 5 weeks of contact he mentioned bta and I didn't trust it. Very convincing scammer.

Your lad sounds like the classic Nigerian scammer.

If you could post the early e-mails and the e-mail headers, it's a far bet someone will know him
Also please post your photo's even if the pictures are stolen, It all helps,,

So, this tells us that the mail is indeed sent from Nigeria, from an ip block that has had many reports of a scammer.

The story of both parents dead, and himself being an engineer currently working in Nigeria is one that occurs quite frequently.

I have done a quick search on the pictures but haven't found them on scamdigger or tineye, but that doesn't mean it's not a scammer.

Can you post his first emails please? Those would be his scripts and we can find those easily on the net. Also, how did he contact you? Through a dating site/facebook/random mail in your inbox?

I have no doubt that this is a scammer though, I've seen it all before. So I'd advise you to stop talking to this guy, break all communication with him.

Oh, and you might want to edit out your personal email addy from the headers.

I joined the Are You Interested application on Facebook. He 'clicked' on me and I clicked back. Then after 2 months I think, he sent me message on Facebook. I don't have the first message anymore, think it was 30th october.
When he was mentioning the bta, I called the dutch embassy in Nigeria and they explained. I blocked all contact since then. Yes dutch embassy since I'm from the Netherlands. Worst thing of all, I tried to report it to the authorities in the Netherlands but they refuse and sending me back and forth.

This is the second message:

The only message from hotmail i have. The IP from yahoo clearly tells me it's nigeria, the ones in this header I don'get. Could anyone check it pls? I just would like to know the truth.
I came accross www.spokeo.com, his yahooaddress refers to 2 networks most likely facebook and myspace also says his second name is Taylor not emmanuel and location Adelaide, hotmail refers to me. www.myspace.com/freespiritlives.

I added him to the ditz's facebook account. If he bites I'll ask him all sorts of questions about Adelaide, my rellys all live there in RL. A good de-education could be in order

I found something else that could be of use. I had Spokeo search on [email protected] yesterday. And also some refined search you can get without being a paying member. Found the result in my mailbox today. It says George Taylor Johnson uses 2 social networks, one is the myspace.com/freespiritlives and one is a different facebookprofile:

,uses a profile picture, the picture I saw in my yahoocontact list is similar to this one, just his face slightly turned in a different direction.

I don't have the experience but it looks to me the original profile is copied and emailaccounts are hacked?
To internationalcrhysis: since you have family in Adelaide is there a way of finding the 'real george' if he exists?
