We started watching it when it was on originally but the wife couldn't sit through the language so I let it go. It's recently been re-run in it's entirety so I've been recording them and watching them while the wife's away. It's an excellent series. Well written and acted.

Besides how could you not watch something that has Ricky Jay involved, no matter how minimally!?

What makes it so great is that it makes an end to all the heroic stories of the wild west of the 19th century.
My wife isn't that fond of it either, so I mostly end up watching it later on through the on-demand digital channel.

I loved Deadwood and was very disappointed when it was cancelled. Sad
