My experiences so far with identifying the scammers, is that they do not answer your questions. They just send script after script untill the time comes that they:

1) are deeply in love with you
2) you are their soulmate
3) they have planned a vacation and they decided to spend this with you
4) they want to travel to you, but alas there are fees involved for passport, visa, travel documents etc and they cannot pay for this
5) they ask you to send through Western Onion or Moneygrab the fees.

Also, a good thing to do is to google the first few sentences of their emails. It can pop up being used in fraudulent emails, mostly associated with romance scams.
Another thing you can do is google their names and/or emailaddresses. I get good hits most of the time in case of romance scams.

What you can also do, is open another emailaccount and send from that account a general "Hi, thank you for your email and I would like to get to know you better" to the emailaddress.
What happens in case of the scammer types, is you will probably receive an exact same response as in your other account.

I am not sure about that.
you can check out scamwarners.com or romancescam.com.

Those are the ones I know of and which I generally use to see if one of my "friends" are there already. Also, in case you suspect to be a victim of a romance scam, you can get support on those sites.

but, I generally use google to check on the emailaddresses. most of the time, in case of a fraudulent person, it gives a hit in association with involvement in scams.

Another way is to check their location. The place Cheboksary is very often used in russian scams, it is certainly a red flag. Also check their ip. Does the location they give you match the location that the iptrace gives? (But note, ip tracing isn't exact. Allow a certain margin of error)

What could also be a sure sign; does their English suddenly get alot worse? If that's the case, that's another red flag for you.

Do the pictures she sent you look like porn models? Although Russia has some very beautiful women, the odds that girls so hot you can bake an egg on their bare body can't find a partner in their own country, is quite small, no?

Those things are small indications that you may have a scammer on your hands. The hints Dutch gave were the best though, googling their email adresses and starting sentences will get you far. Most scripts don't change over time, so they are bound to be posted somewhere by fellow baiters.

Another trick - Write back from two different e-mail accounts, using different names. See if both e-mails accounts receive the same (scripted) response.

Firstly welcome to Eater "Cacke" The easest and quickest way is to CHECK THE e-MAIL HEADERS, look for a mass mailer program, The Bat or Voyager. genuine people simply have no use for a mass mailer program.

Also the personal site where you find your lovely's is a good indicater,
Mybelovednet dot com is 110% scammers.

You can also run your Lovers name through sites like Romance Scam, Go to the Russian love section and type your lovers name in the search function

Or simply post the Headers and a photo on here

Ehm - I'm puzzled for a sec here. By 'safe', do you mean that there you can find 'real' women or safe it the way that they are all scammers and so no risk for baiting real women?

No site is safe from scammers, you just have to play along until you get evidence one way or another.

And there's no guarantee that if you subscribe to a site, it will be scammer free.
As we said before simply run a set of tests, first,

Look for the Bat in the headers, Run there name and there e-mail address through Google,
Use the search function on sites like Romance scam, Russian detective, Scam Digger, Scamwarners. Try running the photo through Tineye.

The fact that they don't ask for money is no indication there not scammers, The fact there in love with you after the 3rd e-mail is a good chance they are.

I've had then use the softening up process for months, until they get you to ask, if they would like you to pay for there trip.

Also read the stickies on here, and look at some of the lines they use in there e-mails, there all much the same. Daddy was killed, I live with my granny. I work at the hospital, I call into the internet cafe on my way home.
And if your still not sure about someone. Supply information [e-mail, headers, photo] on here, someone will no doubt know them.

As the others said, no site is 100% free of scammers.

For example, nobody's sure whether there are actually any real people on mybelovednet, as we have never encountered anyone but scammers.

I will say that datingnmore is run by the woman who started romancescam.com, and she is extremely aggressive about reviewing all memberships, and has several things built in to identify scammers. The site is much harder for a scammer to join, because there are many blocks put in place to prevent it, and she does continue to monitor regularly and immediately remove and block any scammer found.

I know an occasional scammer slips in there, because Marisa deletes them and posts them on romancescam when it happens.

So I guess the answer is--none are free of scammers, but some are much more proactive than others about preventing them, and you should find out about the policies of any site you are interested in joining.

I'm glad I found this post! I'm in the middle of my first love bait (pretending to be a man), and I was starting to feel guilty, wondering if this woman I'm baiting was truly looking for someone. But after reading the responses here, I googled her email, and sure enough, it's there, along with her name, as being a scammer. She's also on romancescam.com. So the baiting with her will continue! Smile

She hasn't asked me for any money yet, but I'm sure it will come soon.

Google is the best friend in any of these doubts. I haven´t seen this thread before but there is nothing to add for me anyway.
Recently a vlad has found my post about "her" but I have just continued as if nothing has happened, i believe she thinks it was not me but someone else who reported her (haha) and we are back from "you fag has posted me" to "Now I have told my Ma and Grandma about us" Very Happy

But I did lie about being a woman, and about being a transvestite, and about being rich and famous , but everything else was true, nearly.

Russian social club, or friendship society, in your part of the world. Or even asking people on here who have Russian wives. Sometime asking a friend of a friend of a friend is the way to go.

can the woman be a scammer or fraud if she must go to the dating agency and register her self at the agency?

i know a site were they write that they must do it, its elenasmodels but that site is very expensive. can you trust them?

i think no they can ask money anyway even they have to show the papers and they register them at the place.

You could be anyone you want to be, providing the fee's are paid.

Just be careful, and if your not sure, ask on here, But be very guarded if
they ask for money or tell you there in love with you.

I've got one on the go at the moment, who's had a great deal of trouble cashing her Western Onion Cheque. The fact the money does not exist,
might have something to do with it. But now she's begging me to visit her there.. Yet another scam, everyone from the taxi driver, to the hotel, food, flowers, presents, will be getting a cut. And IF I'm lucky, I might spend a couple of hours with a woman // girl, who will be paid to do the business. Needless to say. I'm overjoyed, and will be going on the trip NOT

Dunno about mybelovednet, but my female character on 4ppl.com has had a few real people respond, but my male character (which was originally my real profile) has had nothing but scammers. So I took my photos, and replaced it with a picture of L Ron Hubbard... And NO-ONE noticed!

BTW, anyone else having trouible logging into 4ppl lately? If not, then I might have had my fake profile hacked. But by who? I doubt frannypoo could do something like that.

I often have trouble with 4ppl and logging in. I usually get an error message that says the site is unavailable and to try back later. Sometimes it will work later, sometimes it takes days.

@ Cacke~ I'm not sure what questions you could ask them. I agree with being very careful, and asking on here if you aren't sure.
