I told him to give me his password so i can log into m7cn s3cur3 to get his money for him lol. He coughed it up! Its looks like he deleted most of his inbox, but the sent items are 1000's of scam emails being sent out of various kinds. What should I do with it? I already changed the password so he cant log back in I dont think.

Thats effectively the same as closing down the lad's account, not to useful, he can set up another in seconds, and if any other baiters were working on yhim, hes escaped them now, unless he contacts them on the new address.

so what should i do with it you think? i checked his deleted items and this guy is a heavy craigslist scammer.. thousands of emails.

I see a huge potential to save many real life victims. Just monitor the box and any zap any real western union transfers that might come is way. You might be saving some people a lot of money.

Well, my first uninformed thought would be to send it to Craigs List!!!

My secound would be to give it back to him but nuke out all the sent items so he can not use them again.

Or, if there is a reply all for the whole sent folder, send out a massive one informing all the marks that it is a scam....

Or tell the lad you got hacked by the Gomer Boys!!!!!

@ Nigerian Nightmare: a lad doesn't give his email accounts to anyone. What are the dates of the latest sent mails? If the lad was still scamming from this email addy then it would be wise to contact a mod about it. They will know what to do with this.

Nigerian Nightmare- I am sure your heart was in the right place, but obtaining a mugu's password (even by "social engineering") is frowned upon here.

I would suggest changing his password back - if any law enforcement are investigating this mugu, your action in closing his account could thwart their investigation.

Finally, send the password and other info to the moderators. They have contacts with law enforcement and will pass it on.

Stay out of the lad's box. Whether he gave the password to you or not, you have entered his box, changed the password and are now using it for reasons other than authorized.

If he contacts Gmail and complains, you may be in for a surprise from your ISP.
