Hello my fellow baiters. This is a rather wacky one. That same lad who wants me to pay for a "yellow card" to get some money and keeps asking how much I can pay of the thousand dollar fee does not want all thousand dollars.
After a dozen messages back and forth with him asking how much of the thousand I can pay I finally I told him that I can pay all one thousand of the fee. But, he does not want the thousand.
Quote: |
Hello [MY BAIT NAME],
We do not say a think like that, all we are trying to say is that we did not want you to pay all the money since we are willing to help.
We are only asking you that out of the $1000 dollar, how much can you be able to afford?
We need to get this done ask quick as possible, because you are the one delaying your payment, But if you insist that you want to pay all the $1000 dollar, then you have to contact the agent again on [HIS OTHER E-MAIL],
There are going to give you there payment information in which you need to send the money you think you can afford, because we are trying to help you from our personal savings as a church.
Please don't make us delay on this transfer because we have to attend to the work of God.
Get back to us with a positive result ok.
Get back to us now. |
Is there a logical reason he would not want all thousand? Like some sort of WU restrictions?
After that I told him I can afford twenty dollars by the way.
Oh, and chalk up another "Get back to us now" |

I've seen lads do this. I think they want to seem less like they are greedy thieves to a victim. Another tactic I've seen is that the fee will be x amount and if you can only pay 1/2 or 1/3, the lad will help you out by "paying" the other portion. |

That makes sense.
After I told him I would pay twenty dollars he suddenly changed his tune and said he would take the thousand. |

It's happened to me a few times that a Lad sold his car, or house, or a piece of land, to raise part of the fee, and then suggested that I could pay the rest. |

I JUST got an email today about a "yellow card" for a diplomat traveling to the US with a box that he doesn't know what's in it. And he can't know what's in it, and I will open it with him outside the room so make sure I don't sign the papers until I see what's inside.
What the ef is that???? I thought that sounded so ridiculous I took the challenge I don't know if that's the same story used with you but I the "yellow tags" stood out to me. All I can picture id a diplomat with a yellow toe-tag hooked to his lapel.
Oh, and there would be fees involved. no mention of how much yet, but that made room for my first email to him. |

Xdisolvedgirlx, the one I got was an ATM card worth $1.8M that they want to send to me but customs is preventing it from going as they need a "Yellow Card" to send the large amount of money the ATM card is worth and the Yellow Card costs a thousand dollars.
Quote: |
On their way they were stopped by custom agent, They said that it is illagal to carry such parel without having a yellow card, so now what we are trying to do is to obtain a yellow card, The custom agent said the yellow card will cost $1000 dollar, And we as a church after spending so much can't be able to pay the whole $1000 dollar, so we are seeking assistant from you, |
The only real Yellow Card I can think of is penalty cards in sporting events.
And of course, despite being able to send $1.8M and pay the $1,500 shipping fee they have no money for the Yellow Card. |
