here is my ongoing first attempt.any tips on where i should take it or any tips at all would be appreciated.waiting on a mentor at the moment.

First Reply to scam underneath i am in blue,scammer in red.names and email addresses removed to allow the bait to proceed.

i was expecting a cheque for $1.6 million dollars for work done on the new springfield dam. this was supposed to be sent via mayor quimby's office. Is this in part payment?

immediate dispatchment of your package to your residencial address.
Note that as soon as our Delivery Team confirms your informations, it

will take only one working day(24 hours)for your package to arrive its
designated destination.

For your information, the VAT & Shipping charges as well as Insurance

fees have been paid by your colleague before your package was

registered.

Note that the payment that is made on the Insurance, Premium &

Clearance Certificates, are to certify that the Bank Draft is not a

Drug Affiliated Fund (DAF) neither is it funds to sponsor Terrorism in

yourcountry. This will help you avoid any form of query from the

Monetary Authority of yourcountry.

However, you will have to pay a sum of $205 USD to the FedEx Delivery
Department being full payment for the Security Keeping Fee of the FedEx
company as stated in our privacy terms & condition page. Also be

informed that your colleague wished to pay for the Security Keeping

charges, but we do not accept such payment considering the facts that

all items & packages that is registered with us have a time limitation

and we cannot accept payment having known not when you will be picking

up the package or even responding to us.

So we cannot take the risk to have accepted such payment incase of any
possible demurrage.

Anyway it doesn't matter,what does matter is the fact that i am due $1.6 million dollars for works done on the new springfield dam. you must realise that i cannot accept $800,000 dollars as that is only half the agreed amount.

I obviously can afford $205 dollars for the package,what were those charges for again? But what you must realise is that if i accept this package it may be construed as accepting payment for this contract work?

Do you really not know who the package is from? The reason i ask is that i know that W.Smithers who works for M.Burns who contracted me to do the work has went to Africa recently to take up a missionary position whatever that means,so i have my suspicions that it may have been him. Can you confirm this?

Time for a mild slap i think......... also made a deliberate mistake with amount to see if he picks up on it but in case he doesn't will re-iterate it in further e mails Smile

What is this Email? Do you not read your emails? You did not answer the questions i need answered before i commit to sending $2005 dollars to someone that i do not know. Your email was nearly the exact copy of a previous email you sent me.did you just copy and paste it without even reading my previous email? I'm sorry but that seems unprofessional to me.

I need some re-assurances from you before i send ANY money.

1.You will read my emails carefully and respond accordingly
2. You are willing to send me an invoice for the $2005 dollars that you require for the anti-terrorist documentation
3. When i pay the $2005 dollars you will provide me with an official receipt.

Can you give me those guarantees?

As i stated in my previous e-mail i really need some sort of I.D before i can enter into an agreement with someone over the internet.can i also ask where your office is located? just for peace of mind's sake you understand?

well as for the payment its not an error as when i looked at the proper office records i found out that the payment for $2005 was the right payment due for you to make i am sorry for making things difficult for you please i need you to be understanding am only human and the mistake will not repeat its self, Your Bank draft with us is for $800,000 usd and not the amount you just mention you will have to disregard such e-mail i believe them to be scams when further package arrives our office i will notify you on it.

Note that my scanner is bad when its fixed i will update you on the Id card as i also know its very important the technician is going to come in by weekend i will have him fix it,you have nothing to worry about when you process the payment i will update you on the delivery time and tracking numbers, for your notice we have several offices in Nigeria and and our head office is what you have on the invoice i do hope my e-mails are well understood.

Hi Scamalot, Welcome! Sounds like you are moving in the right direction. I like the mix up with the dollar amount, good way to waste his time.

Just be careful that you do not educate the lad. They often mix up the first and last names, which is a good thing, because it might be enough to make a real victim suspicious. So don't bother questioning him about that.

Never really thought of that.Will bear in mind for the future.Received the Fake I.D today so will need to think how to take it from here.looking at my emails i think that i am maybe replying too quickly so will leave it a couple of days to make him sweat a little bit and take more control of the bait.

My ultimate goal is a trophy but feel that with my experience that is maybe a bridge too far at the moment. Very Happy

(Pretend to) send him the payment WU $ecure $hield

When he cries that that didn't work, you can use various delaying tactics... Maybe afterwords you agree to regular WU but you can have some fun making it look like his dolla got chopped (an associate of his e-mailed you HIS WU information and you sent it to this other person). You can even send him an e-mail from another lad telling him you chopped his dolla...

or if you're inexperienced in chopping dollas, you can get one of us to do it for you...there's a member named sir scam a lot who seems to be the master of dolla chopping.

That should drive him crazy. Unfortuanately it seems like $205 is too little to send him on a safari, but if he is still in contact after the dolla chop, maybe you can have one of your aforementioned associates in Africa meet him personally to deliver him the money when he gives them the check (Lads don't like doing this cause they have to pay for their fake checks, but they DO have access to them)

You can then try your hand on a mini safari, send him the airport looking for you, or to a ritzy hotel he'll get kicked out of! The possibilities are endless.

A trophy is probably too much to hope for, for such a negligible amount of money, but you can still wet your whistle on this one and have fun driving him mad.
