I'd offer to do phone calls but I can only take calls at this time (will buy an international calling card real soon - promise)...

and my lads have a bad habit of calling without IMing me first ...so I can't tell apart who is calling - so I just slap whoever it is about me working and telling them I can't be disturbed and tell them there is a lot of static and noise on my end of the phone, they need to IM me...I've actually turned the phone off RL...

Maybe seeing him would jog my memory if he would some to Abuja but you can't bring me down to Ibadan in my current condition. I'd say no matter what, make sure he understands that she's terrified to travel with her money

I'd send her to the S. camp where they will have armed guards to escort her there, and on the premises...that's where she wanted to go anyway...he was supposed to have made reservations already...

she could have left already...and of course they don't use the phone much there since it's a retreat resort...and she can always be on safari when he calls...or out at the pool or whatever...

and of course, since it's a vacation for them, they really need it after all this medical stuff and trauma, so his brothers can't come - he needs to come and spend the time with her...she needs this time now to know he really does love her before they get married...she traveled all this way for him, the least he can do is take a shuttle to meet with her...

there is a shuttle so he doesn't have to drive the entire way Twisted Evil

Dear Nurs3,

I appreciate your contact regarding the release of the patient you're caring for. I will do my best to explain.

What we're dealing with here is a patient who's suffering from temporary impairment of cognitive faculties. She will most definitely recover, but we can't be sure when. There are very strict rules regarding the release of such patients.

She cannot be released on her own recognizance at this time, as she is currently incapable of taking care of herself.

She can only be released into the care of a close relative, or her husband, or a properly licensed medical practitioner. It is my opinion that Nurs3 Yv0nn3 M0++a is certainly qualified to serve in this capacity, as the patient needs nothing more than time and basic sustenance to make a full recovery. However, for procedural purposes, release into the care of a medical practitioner is actually more akin to a transfer. You, good Nurs3, are thus still bound by all applicable rules concerning release of such a patient from your personal care. And by the way, on a personal note, I really appreciate you volunteering to care for this particular patient, as otherwise she would've had to remain in the hospital running up additional charges when we could do nothing more for her but wait. I've added a commendation to your personnel file accordingly.

Now, this fellow who's contacted you has already stated that he and the patient "are to be wed." This means that he has not yet wed her, and technically cannot be considered her husband. This means she cannot be released into his care.

However, it's not uncommon in the case of an international marriage for all required paperwork to be processed prior to the actual ceremony. This is because immigration procedures are also generally needed, as the lovebirds can't be expected to live in separate countries.

It will therefore suffice for the patient's fiance to produce a properly certified marriage certificate and valid photo ID. Should he meet these requirements, he can fill out the necessary discharge forms and immediately assume custody of the patient.

However, he must personally assume custody. He cannot send an agent, not even his own brother. He cannot merely produce the required documentation online and e-mail the discharge forms to secure the patient's release, as this would be no different from merely turning the patient out into the street.

If he cannot or will not personally assume custody of the patient, his only option is to wait for her to recover on her own. This could take weeks or even months. She could even recover tomorrow. But if she never wished to speak to him again after such neglect, she would certainly be justified in my opinion.
