He was a good looking guy that's for sure. Sitting there with his red hanky so proud to be by your side. What a good boy Smile

This is still painful for me to remember. After my dog died (2003) I had his picture printed out and it was hung on the wall of his vet's office. Below is what is printed beneath his picture. I don't think there are better words to describe a dog.

No matter if all other friends pursue their ways, there by the graveside will the noble dog be found. His head between his paws, his eyes sad, but open, in alert watchfulness. Faithful and true… even to death.

Hey Jon.

I've lost two in the last year. They were my babies. If you're anything like me, I know exactly what you're going through and it totally sucks - losing my boys was one of the worst things that's ever happened to me. I have one of them on Rainbow Bridge, and even now, a year later, I can't visit his page without welling up.
I wish I could tell you that you'll feel better in a few weeks time, but the truth is, it will always hurt. It'll just hurt a little less as time goes by.
In the meantime, try and stick to all the old cliches - think of all the good times, realise that you gave him the best you could and hopefully, in a few months time, you can look back on him with a smile.

You have my deepest sympathy.

I'm really sorry for your loss. He was a gorgeous looking dog. He looked gentle and friendly from those pictures.

I know you must miss him but I'm sure you gave him a wonderful life and he was very lucky to be yours.
