Sadly Nigeria is a country that was pieced together. Not all tribes and areas wanted to belong to the country. Biafra would still rather be separated from Nigeria. Religion plays a big part in the makeup of the country. Until the religious differences are neutralized there will always be clashing and fighting.

Sure. What a tragedy. I don't see the correlation between this terrible event and death toll of local people and the NOK formats. This is just a news story on local people hurt in a riot. Actually there are riots all over the world where people are killed and hurt. What sort of comments would you like from me?

^^^ It's disgusting to think about the people being hurt over there, but I was saying that people might be writing scripts about it. It's also disgusting to feed off of death, fake or not.

Possibly. They do this often. Use real tragic news stories for formats. Usually providing a link to a legitimate source. Yes I agree. It's disgusting.

I still regard as the nadir, their attempts to divert aid money meant for the victims of the 2004 Asian Boxing Day tsunami to themselves.

They were literally trying to steal food out of the mouths of shattered, homeless and starving women and children.

I was in Kenya last year when the national elections caused all the tribal tensions to resurface and 1000 people were killed and hundreds of thousands turned into refugees. No matter how progressive and democratic a country in Africa becomes the old racial and tribal tension will always exist just below the surface, ready to jump out again. After years of involvment in Africa I am always uneasy about how quickly the political and social situation can chance and a peaceful place can decend into revolution in a heartbeat. Sad
