Don't know what's ringing alarm bells, tbh, just a hunch - tho' a few standard lads have tried me on the same site.

This is one from where I have a real life profile (yep, I exist in the real world occasionally!).

So just in case he's a lad with a new approach, the mail so far has been:

First mail

HELLO GORGEOUS, WOW YOU LOOK REALLY BEAUTIFUL, HAVE YOU FOUND YOU SOULMATE

YET? I WOULD REALLY LIKE TO GET TO KNOW YOU BETTER, MAYBE WE COULD CHAT

SOMETIME, I WOULD REALLY LIKE THAT... TAKE CARE NOW. CHEERS (is it me, or does his text look like it's disjointed because it's a C&P?)

I sent a generic reply after a Google of his Netlog Username didn't bring up anything - martinlawrence2000.

Just received the following reply:

Again, Google didn't flag any of the text, but he DID write in normal type after I asked him to take the Caps Lock off.

I think it was the 'civil engineer' that warned me, tho' I'm sure there are genuine chappies out there who do this job that use social networking sites!

Any thoughts?

If it is a lad, I'll delete and block, but I reckon it never hurts to have a heads up of a potential new lad.

No info on the profile, and no photos - but a few of the lads who are being baited here HAVE found me over there, with photos as well!

The writing is better than most lads, but the content and approach is very lad-like. I agree with Mugatu and this is a love lad.

If you have used your own personal details, defiantly delete and bloke him..
There's no reason why you can't set-up an e-mail account [hotmail, gmail, fastmail] and a character, and start again. You can simply cut and paste his first reply on to the new system, and begin again.. Then you will know for sure.
If it is genuine, you can write using your real details and say you've been hit by a truck or a golf cart, and have been in a coma in hospital for a few months.
If on the other hands he proves to be shonky, You can have some fun, and know your doing it safely
