Another year has passed. Mark Time made his last post on October 20th, 2005. He passed away two days later.

I wonder if it might be an idea to have a place of remembrance for baiters-past somewhere on the site, not necessaruly the forum, but somewhere to keep their links and memory alive.

I think its a great idea.. Its sad its been 3 years now.. wow..

But as we lose a comrade, we must pick up and carry on so nothing is in vain.

I remember Mark as always helpful and quite often very, very funny.

I was thinking of an 'In Memoriam' section as a nice reminder of those who aren't here any longer.

Quite how you'd do it, I don't know but it would be a nice touch, and for the friends and families, to know there's a place their loved ones are remembered with a permanent tribute. No need to include their life works or wordly achievements, just their connection with our world and how we saw him/her.

It's fitting that we remember those we have lost on sad days like this, and thanks, Crash, for starting the thread to honour your friend, but a permanent tribute to their contribution would be a fine idea. Smile

I agree a little section with maybe their "profile" and click and you can see links to great baits, trophies, posts, etc..

crash, I'm also sorry for the loss of your friend. He looked very young, too, when I followed the links to his homepage. When I saw the stuffed sheep on the toilet that he sent his lad, I cracked up.

A memorial site for Eater members is a great idea.

I remember Mark Time - he was great. I think that we should have a "In Remembrance of.." section and showcase some of their work or some of their best posts. A picture of them would be great too if one is available, if not, maybe the avatar that they used when they were still with us.

While I think he was before my time here at the eater, like many great people here who have come and gone I can tell he was one hell of a guy. Too bad I couldn't have met him.

... and I do agree with a section honoring those who have given time in the anti-scamming/fraud fight who are no longer with us. Lets face it, it takes a nut to do what a lot of us do but you can't say that we're a bunch of heartless nut jobs. Who else is putting up this kind of fight and doing it in their spare time to help people who may never know how much trouble we saved them?
