I originally contacted dear james on 8/07/08 on yp, he did reply and from there was the oh so wonderful emails sent, 30 total now, plus weeks of Im and he has sent text messages to my phone (this has been blocked now-too expensive). By 9/3/08 he was asking for 1500. I played along to get the wu info for reporting purposes. Then made up an excuse to why the funds would not be delivered. Then it was the need food $400, I told him to get a job. lol! Next he wanted a credit card, then a debit card, and last week asks why don't I do a payday loan. I had good replies to all of his requests, dont' have and no. Reading between the lines of those first couple letters I knew he wasn't here in the USA, and he was setting up to a big drama event. He tends to have little tantrums more so lately. I noticed his profile and kelly's at the same time. I saved both profiles info in a word doc, the info on Kelly's aka lonelykelly is the same info provided by James later in his emails. I have no fear of these people, because we have more tools of using the web than they do. Getting information out on these characters will only help others to stay away.
I have 10 photos so far from James young to old of someone, only one photo was taken with a digital camera.

It is good to know you are having as much fun as we do.

If you could post any details on a site such as romancescam or scamwarners iy will go a long way to warning others, you can also post some deatils here if you want to share your pet with others.

If you would like to learn more about baiting romance scammers you could try the romance baiting sticky, it sounds like you already know a thing or 2 about scammers but there is always more to learn, even for the most experienced of us.

I have been baiting him for awhile now, but he's only recently started the YIM's with me. I too have received many romantic letters, and the nice pictures. He's supposed to be flying to meet me in less than three weeks. I look for the $$ request anytime now.

**I got the same pics sent to me just last week...the white tshirt, black top and him with his coworkers and finally him with 2 big dogs. I just found all this today. He emailed me this morning saying he is in Nigeria on buisness and will be home in a week or so and he wants to meet me. he is now under lonelyjames_1987. he said his sub. was out when he contacted me so I had to use his email.
he told me his parents died in a car accident so he inherited his buisness and he caught his ex in bed with his friend. and he believes in God....
He has not asked for money from me since it has only been a couple of emails back and forth. i wonder when it will come...when it does i will call him out on it.

Did he send this to your RL information? If so, then please drop him.
It's not safe to use RL information when dealing with a scammer.

I have come to realize that photo we have received of his co-workers is really his actually co-workers. Lonely Kelly is one of those 3, pictures he sent of himself match to that photo. Also, I have IM forward to my cell and the mapping for the reference/account number is from the same person just another user id. Lonely James and Lonely Kelly are very much related maybe not in the sense of genetics. They are 2 very different people; Kelly is very needy, almost OCD, aggressive, wants gifts sent to him, and well educated. James comes across as not the brightest star in the sky sometimes in IM. One thing I noticed is Kelly went right for the IM, and didn't try to swoon with romantic letters. He moves very fast telling he loves me after a day of chatting, day 3 referring to himself as husband. I just keep telling him we just met, how can he love me so quickly. He even went into the money stuff right away, stopped that talk right away too. Usually the phrase I worked for a bank in the fraud department, he dropped all conversation regarding money for now. It will come up again I am sure. This one doesn't miss a beat on IM, very pushy, fast talker and anxious. He does answer all of my questions completely. He has the same story about parents dying inherit business selling art sculptures, is in Nigeria on business for 2 months now and will fly back to home end of November. Same college background. I ask different but similar questions as I did for the other at random times. Comparing notes, he gets a little like I have already told you this before with me sometimes. Then I know we have chatted before when he was James and not Kelly on IM. James still sends me messages, but at random and I have stopped sending him messages for now. All he knows is I am away on business and have limited access to my computer. Wink

It took me a while to let go of the whole thing. From time to time i wonder what it would be like to get a sweet letter even though it's a script, it made me feel good while they were coming. Some day they will be caught and not bother women again, at least that's what i tell myself.

I am enjoying all of this, probably a little too much. I have been talking to LJ since August, emails, IMs and TM. I figured him out after the first couple emails, especially when he told me he loved me. You don't know me, how do you love me? He didn't ask for any money until late Septmber. I told him I didn't have any money, he became persistent about me getting a loan or going to a payday place. I had just started a new job, so no bank would give me any money if I applied for a loan. I in all essence, lied to him repeatedly about trying to get him money. He did ask me for my address because a client was willing to send him the money to pay for his goods. I did not give him my address, I gave him a business address, where I knew I could have mail delivered without any problems.

Today, when I found LJ on this site, my friends and I got together and did a nice long email, about how I have just come into an inheritance and was willing to send him some money, since I was going to be spending the rest of my life with him, I really needed him with me during this mourning process in my life. I haven't gotten a response from him yet, but I can't wait to read this one. I'll keep you updated with this ongoing saga!!! I really am enjoying this way too much.

If he has any of your real life details-or any info that can be traced back to you then my advice would be to drop him sharpish.

If you want to bait lovelads then i'd suggest reading your welcome PM, read the stickies twice (located at the top of each forum), ask for a mentor (thread in the help forum) and check out the Eater University.

These people are criminals and have contacts throughout the world and whilst the chance is slim that you'd p!ss them off enough for them to come visiting-it's why we bait safely (and preach about others doing it).

I don't want to discourage you from baiting James Dawson, but if you're doing so with any of your real life details it's a bad idea.
Scammers are criminals, and while the chance of them coming and knocking on your door are slim, there are cases where they or someone they have contact with have found victims and caused them harm.

If you want to bait him I suggest you do it from a gmail account using totally fake information about yourself.

New name and email is [email protected] I have managed to bait this sick fool again. His letters did change a little in the beginning and are now the usual ones. What I know from prior bait of a different me he works for an agency. Where he admitted to scamming women and enjoys it. He has deep issues about his looks, gets very offensive. He loves porn, and talking dirty. I haven't provided photos yet, and did not have a photo on YP when he contacted me. He has provided photos to me. I am still communicating with Kelly aka lonely kelly (still think James and Kelly are related) and he is a hand full. Though I think he may be on his death bed. His last im attempt was about being beaten and is in the hospital asking for my support. Right now I just send 1 very short email a week to the lonely greg and receive the usual long emails in return.

I tried YIM with him first, and he wanted to discuss things in E-mail...so I sent him an e-mail, and we've been chatting in e-mail...boy does he sound like a real man Twisted Evil

I want to get him on YIM since I can waste more of his time, rather than getting "form" letters from him...

He was curious where I got his new addy, told him from my friend connie...that she saw his profile somewhere & thought I'd like him...and he said that he didn't have a dating site profile up anywhere (with his new e=mail addy maybe?) but he is talking to me...got to build that trust up now...
