The Western union office lady said you cannot be too careful as there is a lot of fraud around.

Why not make him now an offer that he can't refuse, would he hold some valuable papers/ painting for you so that your wife can't find them when the divorce comes trough? Parcel Direct of a friend can bring it asap, but you're going to need some collateral so you can be sure he can be trusted with something of that value, negotiations can easily be another 3-4 weeks Wink
