I've been away for a while; had a day of work to entertain my niece. I see mugu has been enjoying himself as well. Laughing

I do kinda regret that call; I am fairly certain he was held by the local 2-bit police... The way that the policeman's description of his particular outfit/location (although I could not make it out entirely) rolled off his tongue... Just like a beurocrat that is used to repeating his post/title; at lightning speed... That seemed real to me. So if he has been released into the wild (pun intended) the call may have actually helped him out. Crying or Very sad

But there is always hope that he was left off the hook conditionally, & they will await his passage back through town Laughing

I have been looking for a trail map of the park & cannot find one... This truely is uncharted territory Thumbs up

If we could find a trail that leads to the north, we may be able to push him to the north to exit the park, & then perhaps on to N'djamena to ....

It may seem over the top now, but in reality we haven't been able to go over the top on these lads - And we have thrown some perty-darn ridiculous plot at them!

Another option is to get the lad back home in Nigeria to travel to the Nigeria 5imba camp... Ihava could have to reroute to Nigeria camp; of course she has some cash on hand as well (stole it from her crazy boyfriend when she left him) Laughing

So two things jump out at me:
1) He either has a hired trail guide (in which case command center Nigeria probably sent cash), or a police escort (how pissed would that cop be), or an assistant throat slasher (in case you feel sorry for this lad, seriously, think, what happens to Alf when he finds him).
2) He mentions the police being called this morning... Call me overly suspicious... It was morning my time alright, but afternoon lad time... Hum... This intrigues & bothers me profoundly. Confused

Alf has not replied to the lad's email, or called... Let's leave it that way until we have news of his progress (which I expect promptly, first thing, in Alf's box tomorrow a.m.) - Silence is golden Laughing

Oh, yeah, also, if any baiters that like to call lads are interested: I thought it might be a nice thing to have some calls come in to the 'police' number pretending to be victims contacting their scammer, for whatever scam & saying that a Mr. Micheal, Minister, King, blahblah whatever gave this as his contact number while on vacation... That way if he really is police, he will be very pissed off to find out the lad not only was a scammer as suspected, but also had the audacity to give his number as part of his scams boxer

I would like to hear a call with Mr Michaels right now. He should be able to hold the phone towards the canopy so that we can hear all the sounds of the jungle.... Laughing

If he really has spent the day hiking thorough the rain forest to reach Chimp Camp, there really isn't very much further we can push him.

Does it sound plausible for Ivhanna to travel to the (wrong) National Park, and needing Alf to go and rescue her.....

although looking at that map mt cameroon at 4km high looks very very inviting. but a different park my be more plausible.

@Master - A good choice of National Park I think.

Campo NP is close to the major town of Kiribi, and so its possible for laddies to get there. Its also pretty close to the borders of Equatorial Guinea and Gabon, so maybe the safari could spiral into another country.

Ivahanna could just say that she told a taxi driver to take her to the big NP with all the monkeys. They all sound the same to her Campo/Korup, very similar sounding to a westy maga... Very Happy

I see no problem with that scenario. I was looking at park Benoue for other reasons - read below.

However: We are coming to a breaking point in the bait. I suspect that the lad was released conditionaly with a guide. Since they went to chimp camp & it became apparent theres no simba (not to the lad, but to the guide), they turned around. The guide then re-delivered the lad to the policeman waiting in mundemba. This is supported by the phone numbers... While in the jungle (yes I realize there may be no cell signal there). a new phone number was given. Now lad-central back in Nigeria needs Alf to call the police, again on the same number as before. If this is the case, the probability of the 'game is up' with 5imba is getting very high. (but I think your plan with Ihava is fantastic & must go forward Thumbs up

Yes that sounds like good fun! I am having a hard time with making the decision of placing that call.
