I have just the worst day of my life. I came home from work and some thieves broke into my hose and stole 14 of my parrots. They busted the back door of the house. All these birds were rescue and re-homed form bad owners. Police stated that they can't to much. I'm in Colorado so if any of you pet scam hunters out there see anything just PM me. Evil or Very Mad

@donato - i came home after the stores are closed. I've have several yahoo groups that are doing global postings. These people watch craiglist, nothing on it yet. Have to notify all the vets in the area. Two local TV stations and the local newspaper want to talk to me. Plus the humane society has been notified. I want these bastards hung!

Do they make a lot of noise that would tip someone off about them being there? If not, do you think it could be someone you know?

^^Some the birds are banded. I have pics of all of them. Pet stores are going to try to bait anyone tries to sell to them a bird that is on the list. I just had visit from a photographer from the local newspaper and local TV called to a spot on during the news. Most thing point to someone I know or someone I've been introduced. It took at least two people to pull this off.

I'm sorry to hear that your birds were stolen, Fishhead. You might want to look at anyone who might have had motive and knew that the birds were in your house.

Same thing happened last summer at a pet store behind the auto shop I work in.Very professional-small hole in the door,took all the highest priced birds including the personal pet of the owner he had for over 25 years.Someone knew what they were looking for,where it was,and was in and out in a hurry.From what the police said,it is a growing problem.I wish you luck,they do grow on you.Don't know if it makes a difference or not but I am in Maryland.

That really blows... you really do become attached to those furries... I hope you find who caught them and get your birds back...

I thought craiglists disabled selling of pets due to too many scams? Or was I misheard on that?
