Next of Kin. In our contexts it's one of those scams where they need you to act as benificiary to someone who has died to recieve their inheritance money. Sometimes known as cancer victim scams, plane crash victim scams, there's many terms for it really, but it all comes under the umbrella of a "straight" or "vanilla" 419 advance fee fraud.

Thanks Mugatu -- sounds like another term for the "garden variety" scam. I'll be picking up the lingo the more I hang around -- thanks for the help!
