He's on the run,I had recieved an email from a supposedly known china jewells and I told them the check was forged and the police is investagating it

Unless the complete original email was just "Call me back" with a mobile number, that's not the text.

What is China Jewell? Who are you asked to call? Assuming this is a cheque/employment scam, what's being offered?

If you could post the headers too, it would be helpful.

the name was Erick Bowin abd c Hina Jewell was only used to fake a business

a check was mailed to me from Erick and I did go to the bank to cash it and the cashier told me it a forged check and it was made out for 118.000 dollars
they told me I keep 10% of that and wright a personal check out to send the rest right,on the phone voice mail his voice sounded a lot like african

Then there are email exchanges, no? Lads always email before just randomly picking an address to send a fake check to, in my experience.

I'm not too clear on your needing to emphasize that he sounded African.

Don't call him, don't answer his calls, don't email him, don't return his emails - he'll go away soon enough.

Please read the stickies and rules and advice here, you'll soon see we absolutely advise no contact from real addresses etc for baiting. If you want to start baiting him from a different email account, that's fine, but read, read, read first, and bait safe.

Welcome, shame it's under such circumstances, but glad you didn't lose out to the scam.
