Here's a zaney idea on how to control the lad population:

"I'm Doctor James Whitman, and I'm doing a study on Sicarius hahnii , the six-eyed sand spider for a major univesity with grant money, blah blah blah." They live in the desert of Southern Africa, and I will pay $3,000.00 for each live specimen the lads can catch. Very Happy

They are the deadliest spider in the world, though bites are rare (death is said to take place within 20 minutes to an hour, and there is no treatment). What do you guys think? Will lads jump at the chance to earn 3 grand just for catching a little spider, preferably with their hands?

gonna need pics of the lads holding up the specimens showing they're the spiders I need (the university won't give out donations without an the correct species)

If there are lads daft enough to ship Shiver a carved commodore 64 then yes, you will find they are nuts enough to try this if you get the right one. If they think you are rich and stupid they would probably pogo-stick through a minefield for you (now there's an idea Twisted Evil

Yep. Please don't open the doors to the debate on the morality discussion on 'is it okay to have a lad killed over a scam email.' This has been discussed before, and nearly every thread was eventually locked.

While you might think it humorous having people bitten by deadly spiders and left to die in the desert, other may not.

If you do achieve your results then don't post them here.

While we really want to put a stop to scammers, this is carrying it a bit TOO far.

Okie doke- at last count we had two morality threads running, plus a 'goofy crap the lads say to justify themselves' type thread, along with a smattering of 'Can I do this to a lad' threads.

Plenty of other places for people to get on their soapboxes, either for or against.
