Hi. Yes I'm a lowly newbie. My handle is sinbad54 and I've been playing this bait thing on my own for a while. Glad to see a site like this. Got a few quick questions. Anyone have a quick way to pinpoint a location of origin for an email? How can I determine a bidpay fraud quickly? Thanx 4 ur time. Happy Hunting.

To trace an email to it's origin from the IP address, paste the complete email header in to the box on this site and click "check headers":

http://headertool.apelord.com

When the results page comes up, it's usually the bottom IP address that is the originating one, though not always, you can click the Who-Is button on the results page for more info on a particular IP.

Hiya, welcome. Firstly, I would point you in the direction of the stickies and the mentor thread whereby an experienced baiter will offer advice and guidance as you require on baiting safe and other modalities.

As for bidpay fraud I'm not entirely sure as I have no experience of it and I have not touched auction scammers. As for tracing emails look for the originator's IP address in the header of the email. That will usually tell you where the email was sent from. With some emails it will give you the email or internet providers location as opposed to where the person who sent the mail is. Use google to search for ip locators like dns stuff. I lost my links for that and haven't bothered renewing them so I can't really say now which ones are the best to use now.
