Last night BBC's Top Gear showed footage of the 288mph crash their presenter Richard Hammond had in a jet car last year. They were having 'just one more go' having unofficially broken the UK speed record at 314mph, when the front right tyre decided it had had enough, and buggered off. Not surprisingly, all hell then broke loose. Luckily he has recovered from the brain injury that put him in a coma at the time.
Its only a matter of time before it gets on Youtube, but for today only, there is a link from the top right hand corner of the BBC website, bbc.co.uk , If you're not in the UK, you need to select the UK version, not the International one. There is a little checkbox to do this, again in the top right hand corner. I just tried it with a German proxy, and it still worked.
I'd put up a direct link to the page, but its coming up in a dedicated window, maybe to stop everyone blagging it. |

This didn't take long, I might have known somewhere tasteless like Liveleak wouldn't take long to host it
This is a short version of the Top Gear segment, just the crash, whereas the BBC hosted version has the full piece. It should be a bit more enduring, though.
