This from my lad of 16 months. We're so far off script, and he's confessed he's a reformed scammer. So I asked a few over-the-top questions. #5 is my favourite.

1. Do you know people who actually make money from scams?

lad wrote:

I dont know them facially, but I know some strategic locations and cities that they base-Lagos, Port harcourt and other small cities.Because even if you know that that is what they are into, you dont have any proof to nail them.

How much?
According to figures from EFCC{Economic and Financial Crimes Commission},they range from the smallest denominations of currency to the highest, i.e it doesnt have any specific amount.

2. Does anyone feel guilty by stealing?

lad wrote:
As normal humanbeings,we all including you, suppose to feel guilty whenever we break the rules and injunctions of the almighty God.

3. Do all scammers actually think they are 'players', what I mean by that, do they think they are smart and clever?

lad wrote:
From my own observation, not all feel that they are clever and smart.

4. Why do all scammers think they deserve the money they steal?

lad wrote:
You and I knows very well that they did not deserve the money they steal rather, maybe they think it is right out of hardship or for other reasons that is best known to them.

5. Some scammers are educated, do they teach the younger ones they can make money by becoming scamming thieves and breaking the rules of god, which will in turn is sacrificing their immortal soul to satan?

lad wrote:
You know this question you ask now is not generic,I think some people have the natural tendency to steal, while some are forced to do so out of circumstances. So,anybody that is stealing suppose to know the inherent consequences that accompanies it and also suppose to know that it is breaking of Gods rules.

6. What sort of legitimate businesses flourish in Nigeria?

lad wrote:
Many of them, uncountable. They range from importation and exportation of all sorts of merchandise depending on the one that you are more specialised in.Infact many legitimate businesses abound here in Nigeria.

7. What do you hope to become once you have finished school?

Quote:
Based on the academic field that am coming from which is business inclined {Business Management}.I also venture into fields of business that is business inclined and more likely importation as I have pointed out earlier or any other business that is worthwhile.

This all from a lad who drew all over his body with a magic marker because I asked him to.

He's used the words "denominations", "injunctions", "consequences", "legitimate", "generic" and "inherent" - I know English people who have no idea what these words mean!

Do you reckon he's discovered the wonders of the thesaurus, or is he actually quite intelligent? (note: intelligence is not the same as common sense)

He loves to quote latin websites, so I'm going with 'Online Thesaurus'... I have the feeling he wishes to appear more clever than he is because of the humiliation I had put him through.

Old trophies - (The shameless re-plug edition)

Ahh, a few of you will remember this lad.

He did write on himself
